Since 1972, Kanki has been the Triangle’s favorite Japanese steakhouse and sushi house.

This was our son's first experience with hibachi and he loved it! Our chef was engaging and fun and he worked fast and efficiently. The food was delicious and overall we enjoyed ourselves. The only negative was the relative slowness of our server, especially in contrast to our chef. And it just got slower and slower as the meal progressed. We had to wait a good 10 minutes for our check after our plates were cleared and 5 minutes more for it to come back so we could finally leave. Not the highest note to end on but prior than that a great experience.

We had a 5:30 reservation. We weren’t seated until 6:00 and didn’t have food until 7:30.

Our waitress wasn’t very attentive to the whole table. There was some type of black stuff in my sprite class and when I got home I instantly had to go to the bathroom and I am still back and forth to the toilet. I will not be coming to this Kanki again. Also my mother said the bathroom was very nasty.

It had been almost 15 years since we last ate at Kanki. A few things have changed since then, but for the most part it was the same as we remembered. It's your traditional habachi restaurant. Our chef wasn't big on showmanship, but the food was good and plentiful and the waitress was available when we needed her to refill our drinks.
