   My wife and I planned quite a long drive to come down to Toronto specifically for this restaurant. When I called ahead of time, I mentioned that my wife was gluten free and they confirmed that we could be accommodated. (This was all an automated system by the way, there's no way to talk to a human) I also booked this through open table, for their High tea, including our request for high tea and that my wife was gluten free. When we got there,we were told that they could not accommodate us, because "it would be a lot of work" to make the meal gluten free. We were also told this after sitting for quite awhile waiting for our waitress. Very frustrating experience, especially after driving for 2 hours for this experience.

   Came here for their Japanese High Tea, and overall the experience was good. You can definitely tell there was a lot of thought put into the menu and the ingredients were fresh. However, the maki pieces were a miss , they were tinier than advertised and since we got the end pieces it looked like they were falling apart. The experience may have been better if we were not seated right in front of the kitchen. They were serving buffet brunch at the same time, so the kitchen aromas and traffic masked our “high tea” experience. Perhaps it would have been better if they seated us in a quieter spot, we smelled like kitchen cooking oils by the time we left. For the price and hype, I did expect a little more attention to service and presentation of food.

   Ended up taking my wife there for her birthday. We sat on the ground level in the corner. The table wasn't the greatest in terms of location due to us being next to the computer they plug their orders in so it wasn't the most intimate setting. We ended up ordering the Salmon Oshi, Miso Soup, Eggplant Tempura, O Toro Sashimi, Miso Cod, Wagyu Steak & the Mushroom Rice. All the dishes were really good. Our faves were the Salmon Oshi, Eggplant, Cod & Mushroom Rice. Everything was very fresh overall and our service was top notch, no complaints there. I had told them it was my wife's birthday, but nothing was really done for her in that regard and I would not have assumed that anything would be done but the hostess at the front made it seem like something would. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. Next time I would suggest a table on the upper level closer to the kitchen.

   Lovely server, but overall, sushi was just serviceable. Shishitos were undercooked. The mushroom rice dish was delicious though:))

   Came for my mother’s birthday. The high tea menu was amazing. We tried all the add ons and the food was delicious. The sangria was unlike anything we’ve tried and I could have sat there drinking it all day. Thank you all!!

    We went for the valentine menu, and it didn’t really make sense. I think they just gave a lot of food, but the food itself was very mid. Too salty.
