   The place is cozy with very nice ambiance, while we were there, they were playing Spanish music. We started with the aji y mezcal cocktail, and my husband and I both loved it. The food was great and the service was excellent. The manager Gilberto came to check on us and made sure that the entire experience was great. I especially love the Lions Mane and the Branzino, both Celiac friendly by the way. My husband was raving about the Yucas Trufadas and Arroz con Mariscos. Great spot for Dinner date or small group brunch.

   Food was so good! Loved the spirit free cocktails - tasted just like the chica morada we had in Peru. Ceviche, lions mane, short rib, seafood risotto - all would order again.

   Kayao in Chicago is a true culinary treasure that dazzles with its exceptional food. Every dish we've tried has been spot on.    Delicious! Favorites were the octopus, chaufa, branzino, and Matilda cocktail. Space is gorgeous. Will definitely be back.

   A very modern Peruvian restaurant with amazing food and service the only thing for me was it was overpriced for the portions they offered.

   I would have given all 5 stars but they ran out fairly early (7:45!) of two of their main dishes! Seems odd. The other items were great and they did comp our dessert. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen again to others.

   It was our first time visiting Kayao and did not disappoint. David our server was very helpful in explaining the food and with our selection with drinks. The busser Luis was very attentive with our table, did not miss a beat; excellent service and the food was incredible!!!Thank you Kayao, for an unforgettable night..

    We had a great experience at Kayao. The food was delicious. The staff were attentive and answered many of our questions. The portions were larger than expected. This was a bonus, but possibly would’ve ordered different items if we had known the portion size.
