In the Punjabi language, “Khaab” means dream. For Mavi, owner of Khaab Indian Kitchen & Bar, the name refers to a very personal journey.

Mavi dreamed of being a restaurant owner since his childhood. Working toward that dream for 15 years finally led to his ultimate goal of owning a restaurant. Now, when he welcomes guests to Khaab Indian Kitchen & Bar, Mavi can share his dream with them and share the flavors of his Punjabi roots.

Khaab is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. I usually come here before going to see a movie at Drexel theater.

Delicious Indian food at a good price! We really enjoyed the khaab special which came with an appetizer and dessert included

Not that crowded, but service was a bit slow. Food fresh tasting and waiter explained items we were not familiar with.

Generous quantities of delicious food. Chef took care to differentiate spiciness of each dish as ordered (in some restaurants, there is little difference between mild and extra hot — Khaab does it right).

Our family has 'informally' set Fridays as our night to enjoy dinner at Khaab! Everything we've ever tried or has been suggested has been delicious! Their team is consistently friendly and the food is always wonderfully flavorful and perfect! The portions are very good and don't be surprised if you have some left over to take home and enjoy!

We love this restaurant so much, we took my mother-in-law and less than a week later we took my sister. Delicious. Everything was clean and the staff was very polite. My wife and I split the Masala with fish. We ordered #6 on the spicy scale and it did not disappoint. A good wine list and I need to compliment the friendly and on-the-ball staff.

We had a great time! The restaurant is spotless and every member of the waitstaff was friendly and clean-cut. Our waiter was busy but always there for us, very friendly and happy. The food was delicious and the menu's mild, medium, and hot descriptions were accurate. None of the meat was dry and the rice was tender. The different choices of Nan were appreciated. Most importantly, it was my mother-in-law's first time eating Indian food and she was very impressed. We are taking my sister here again this weekend.

This was a very busy night! The needed help in the kitchen. There must have been 10-15 people waiting to pick up orders. It’s a small restaurant so that made it pretty loud. I love the food! Drinks could have gotten to the table faster. I think they only had 2 servers for the whole restaurant. If they had some help I would have given 5 stars. But I will be back!!!!
