   I loved the open kitchen concept. Cooking of a wood burning oven was a must to see. We stared with the oysters. They were fresh and delicious. I had the steak and it was fantastic and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend it. If you want to start off with a cocktail, you can do so in the adjoining hotel level.

   Second time dining there and both times were so excellent - the first time with girlfriends we shared a bunch of apps and veg plates and then with my husband we did starters and entrees - I can't wait to go back and do a chef's tasting!

   Waitstaff was extremely attentive and pleasant, providing a lagniappe when they felt our entrees were taking a bit too long to arrive. Flavor profiles were well balanced, and I enjoyed the grain mustard sauce for the crispy pork despite a lifelong aversion to that condiment. Well done, Chef.

   The food is just amazing and the service has improved a lot since our last visit. Carol waited on us and did a great job. She helped with the wine selection as well as rounding out a great family style menu for the three of us to enjoy. We look forward to coming back soon.

   Always a treat. Sitting at the chef's table/counter this time with my family. We had a great time and left stuffed. We had a bit of everything and everything was a treat. You could easily skip the entrees and just have the side dishes and be perfectly happy as they are awesome and unique. Watching them cook you realize they spend more time and effort toasting a piece of bread than most establishments in Old Town spend on you whole dinner. Looking forward to many more dinners over the years. The Cocktails are also top notch.

   It was pretty poor. It wasn't crowded, but our water wasn't refilled, they missed an entre so one of our guests didn't eat, and they didn't offer an alternative, and all of the staff had a bit of an attitude. There are tons of great restaurants in Alexandria. This is one we won't go back to.
