   There were 2 of us. 1st time here. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was very good. My wife had the Rock fish and I had the Cat fish . Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert was delicious and the coffee was good. Hopefully we will be visiting again. The only negative for me, personally I like the traditional martini glass.

   Kale salad was terribly salty. Server didn't put in the main course order for one of the 4 of us; once it was realized, they rushed the cooking and the dish (pork chop) came out undercooked and arrived well after the rest of us had finished. Rockfish was a nice piece of fish but very bland preparation. Hamachi crudo same thing, little flavor. Overall very disappointing meal, especially at the fine dining prices.

   Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Staff was very warm, welcoming and accommodating, atmosphere was attractive and comfortable with a spare, unstuffy aesthetic. Food was excellent, original and carefully composed. The tuna crudo was delicious and beautifully presented, the lobster gnocchi delectable in a beautifully complex sauce that hit a perfect balance between creaminess and citrus/lemongrassy freshness. Noise level was perfect - very easy to talk comfortably at the table, with just enough visual stimulation and buzz from the bar areas to feel festive.

   The server/maitre de Tasia was incredible. She made it first visit feel warm and welcoming. She was well versed in the menu and suggested offerings that were amazing. It was evident that the chef is passionate about each dish. From the short rib and beef tartare to the rockfish and tuna tartare, the flavors built upon each other from the base of the dish to the garnish. Between the kitchen and Tasia, this was the best service I’ve had this year. I’ll be back soon.

   Great first experience! They offered us dining room or chef table experience since they had the open seating so we chose chef table. Very clean and nice decor. Open kitchen was great to watch and decide what dishes to try. Waiter was very accommodating and friendly, water glass never got halfway! Ordered rolls, steak tartare, gnocchi, crispy potatoes and braised short rib dishes were all wonderful good portions. They accommodated us ordering desserts to go since we were so full, carrot cake was a fave! Will be back soon. For the portions and experience the pricing was spot on in my opinion.

    Really enjoyed the cocktails and food we got for an anniversary date at Kiln. Our server helped us pick out a few options based on our questions and I definitely want to come back for more of the menu! We ended up trying a few starters: the bread, tuna crudo, and garlic potato soup. They were plated well and tasted delicious. For mains, we ordered the braised short rib with possibly the cheesiest potatoes you can imagine (in a good way) and the coulette steak. Both were cooked perfectly. The short rib was incredibly tender aces the steak was a perfect medium rare. We added one additional side, the 18 hour cabbage - unexpectedly sweet and really good! We got a few distant cocktails off the seasonal menu and enjoyed them all. We will be back to try some more entrees!
