   We made reservations for Valentine's Day. We had checked out the full menu online and had kind of decided what we would order. Nowhere during making the reservation did it say that there would be a "limited menu" to chose from on Valentine's Day. We were both very disappointed to find out that this was the case as neither one of the meals we had picked ahead of time were available on the limited menu. We had to choose from what was already available...(strike one). Kitaro should have made this clear when making the reservation. My wife ordered DiSarono Amaretto for her drink and was told that they didn't have that...(strike two). We couldn't just leave and go somewhere else without a reservation on a holiday. What we did get to eat was good, but not wjat we had anticipated. The server was fantastic though. Also, Kitaro added a mandatory 20% gratuity...(strike three)..."ur out ! ) Honestly, I always leave 20% gratuity for a server...even not so good ones...sometimes I leave more. I don't appreciate this policy for a party of (2). I can understand some restaurants having this policy for parties of (6) or more...but for (2) ? It is for these reasons that we won't be returning to this restaurant in the future.

   We apologize for your disappointing experience. It's understandable how frustrating it must have been to expect a full menu, only to see the limited options and will use your feedback to better communicate special event menus in the future. With the DiSaronno availability, as much as we would love to have everyone's favorite, stocked, we do have a list of our drink selections online to curb any disheartening expectations. As for the gratuity policy, we understand your concerns. It's in place to ensure our staff is fairly compensated, especially on high-demand nights, but on a regular basis, we only apply this on parties of 5 or more. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the food and service, but we deeply regret that your experience didn’t meet expectations.

   Food and service was excellent. The only drawback is that the tables are very close to each other, which makes it less intimate.

   Food was delicious. Service was great. Food came out promptly on a busy Saturday night. Drinks were always full. Sushi was out of this world. Best Spicy Tuna roll around. Beef Bulgogi dumplings were delicious and everyone loved the wild Jalapeño. Monster and King Kong are a couple of our favorites also.

   Great dinner at Kitaro! Thanks to our waiter Chris for a great evening, excellent service! We celebrated Valentine’s Day a week early - what a great relaxing, delicious dinner. Started off with Asian Pear Martinis along with 2 appetizers, edamame and pork gyozas, then enjoyed our 2 favorite rolls -Crabby Joe and the Hawaiian. We tried a new roll (to us) - Ocean Drive - highly recommended! Thanks Kitaro!

    We've dined at this establishment several times. It's always an amazing experience. The food is great. I always bring someone new & introduce them to the crab rangoon.
