   My Wife and I went here for Valentine's Day dinner (on Saturday) and it was a pretty good experience. We were sat promptly downstairs, it was really cute! The dj was on point and the hosts/managers checked in with the guests throughout the evening which was appreciated. We love the decor and all the black art!! Food: I had the Kajun Kreme Pasta which was pretty good. The breading for the fried crab leg was a bit salty. My wife had the Short Ribs with mashed potatoes and broccoli....MID! The potatoes were most definitely out of a box and the gravy was made from one if those packets that you just add water to.. The short rib itself was flavorful and tender but a little dry. The wife was not impressed with her meal. Service: Our server was pretty cool (didn't catch her name) we saw that she was handling several tables and she continued to check in with us and make sure we didn't need anything. She also re made my wife's drink when she was unsatisfied with it. She was pretty cool. The only thing I did not careful was once I paid I was not giving an itemized receipt. After my payment went through she is just walking away from the table. Wasn't feeling that. We would like to give this place another try, maybe during the brunch Saturdays or sundays. The reviews and tiktok videos I have seen spoke highly of the brunch so maybe we should just give brunch a try. Overall 4/5.

   The food and service were outstanding. My only negative was the noise level. The misic was too loud making people talk louder. Better acoustics and lower volume would solve this problem .

   I made reservations with OpenTable during Valentin's Day weekend. We came in and got seated immediately. Our server was Alexa. She was phenominal with giving suggestions for drinks, food, and specials. I got the heavenly eggs, and my fiance got collard greens dip. Excellent. I went with the chicken and specialty waffle of the month, which was red velvet. Crispy, flaky waffle, not overbearing seasoned chicken, and give you the option of whitw or dark meat with you waffles. I also had a side of yams and macaroni & cheese. My fiance got banana pudding waffles and a side of lobster mac. Everything was delicious. We got the special dessert, which was the Strawberry Trifle. So good. Not overly sweet. 10/10 recommend. Now I have got to find the number for them to cater my wedding!

   Really liked the ambience and service here. Food was also quite good, the fried chicken was flavorful and moist. I'd definitely return! My only small ding is they automatically add a 20% service charge which I knew from previous reviews, but the server didn't make that clear, I had to confirm it with them (and didn't see it on the payment screen). She told me that charge went to the whole staff, but if I tipped additional it went only to her. I sort of felt compelled to add a bit more. She was excellent or I wouldn't have done so, but more than 20% is a bit excessive.

   I went to the Charlotte location and the food was Amazing so I wanted to try the DC location. The food was cool but it was not amazing like in NC.

   The drink prices are outrageous. I finished my water, and no one came around to fill my glass with more water. Automatic 20% tip with average service.

   The staff was welcoming and friendly. We were greeted when entered the door by a staff person letting us know that we were "home". Our server was pleasant and knowledgable, offering her opinion about her preferences and informing us of popular dishes. We happened to come in the middle of a snowstorm and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was still open and serving guests. Our food was tasty and was served quickly. I would definitely return or visit the restaurant in one of the other locations across the country.

    The food is really good. The cocktails are stiff and on point, but the service is a complete hit and a miss.  The mandatory 20% tip isn’t fair either. The ambience is noisy and not really a great cocktail vibe. Go for the food if you can ignore everything else.
