This place is beautiful and aesthetic. However, two of our dishes had hairs and the staff/service was horrible.

We were a party of four. Ordered three smash burgers and one order of pear pancakes. For $15.00, we expected three or four decent sized pancakes. What we got was two tiny pancakes, no syrup and nothing else. Smash burgers were tasty, also tiny with no accompanying side. It was kind of surprising to see a smallish burger on a large plate with not even a side pickle or something. We shared one dessert. The non alcoholic drinks were good. Our server was pleasant as was the ambiance. Total for four people including tax and tip for the aforementioned items was $149.00. The hilarious part, when I think about it, is the tiny pancakes at $7.50 each. I think Kitchen in the Desert can do better.

Everything was perfect about this hidden gem. Although the food selection is small - everything was just perfect. The drinks were amazing. The best spot we ate during our trip in Palm Desert.

Food was good, but the portion sizes are tiny. They say to order for sharing, but things like a little slider size burger are not shareable. Burgers, lamb pops, brussel sprouts all good. Menu was limited and not everything was available. We waited about a half hour to be seated. It’s a charming seating area with weird vibe music. The heaters keep the area warm, but the heat was uncomfortable in its own way. I was not expecting this to be a “value” place, but it was far enough off that I was put off. Traveling with two teens and they need full bellies. Sure they’ll always sell you more food, but with the limited menu, how many of the same tiny thing can you order?

We had an amazing experience! It was our second time visiting. We got the smash burger, hangar steak, brussel sprouts, veggies and the coconut rice. The drinks were all amazing as well! We had the spicy margarita, an old fashioned and a few of the non alcoholic varieties.
