Eat here fairly often. Frequent enough menu changes to keep it interesting. Food is always top notch and atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a larger city. Staff are always friendly and helpful!

We were visiting from Canada with a group of friends and had a great evening at KIX! Our server was friendly and very helpful with suggestions of where to visit and what to do in Finger Lakes. The food is excellent, service fast given the small kitchen, which they disclose at the very beginning of the evening. We tried calamari which were perfect and not greasy at all. The blackened salmon is delicious and a good portion. In house cookie skillet is great for sharing and comes piping hot. The atmosphere is warm and friendly... we will be back!

Kix is great!! Food, service, choices all great! Open table's system to verify 2 ways is VERY POOR

This is my favorite restaurant in Canandaigua… The food and service is very good… Food portions are on the large side … The only problem is they don’t offer coffee or tea. That being said , and my over 25 years experience in the hospitality industry; I would highly recommend trying Kix on Main!

Brought a first time couple with us for dinner (we've been many times). Service, food, and ambiance was all on point. Everyone loved their meals; from the Jimmy Mac Appetizer to the Fall Hash Steak and Pumpkin Pasta Toss specials and the always super Chicken French. Our guests said they could have picked any of about 30 items for dinner, so they'll be back! Service was excellent; friendly, timely, and efficient! Another excellent dinner experience!

One of the best dining experiences in Canandaigua. Service staff was personable and on point. The crab soup and chicken French were amazing. Love that you have a nice bar option, outdoor dining or more intimate indoor dining. Ownership is also present and make it a warm and accommodating experience.

I don't like writing less than favorable reviews but I was asked and I feel compelled I guess because I'm surprised by this place after reading the good reviews. When I made the reservation I was initially put off by the requirement to give a credit card for an online reservation and the $20 per person penalty charge if you change your reservation the same day or cancelled. However, I thought, ok if they're that busy and in demand then they must be phenomenal. I dined there with family and friends, there were 5 of us. We arrived early and were seated no problem. The wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but took our order after we were ready. Everyone tried something different - I had the pork chop, which was a very thick bone in tomahawk style but smaller pork chop. I was really surprised when our food came out and each of us was served at different times. Mine came out first and it sat on the table while I waited for everyone else's food to arrive. Each plate came out individually and a few minutes apart. My food sat for about 10 mins before the final person was served. By that time my pork chop was cold. I tried to cut into it and after sawing away for a good while, found that it was mostly tendons and gristle. Gross. I tried to cut around it but it was very difficult to find meat that wasn't tendons and gristle. It also wasn't cooked completely and was pretty cold by the time I started eating it due to the staggered servings. The potatoes that came with it were pretty good - like a cheesy scalloped potato, but again were cold. No one came to ask how our food was while we were eating or I would have had them at least warm it up or cook it some more. Overall disappointing. Maybe they were having an off night and/or were short staffed. I'd probably give it another shot due to the number of good reviews but I would not order the pork chop again.

The owner handed us the ‘specials’ menu and was very brusk. We (my wife and I) ordered the haddock sandwich. Although a large sandwich the fish was a (previously frozen) white fish, not haddock as advertised. It came with a coleslaw that was outstanding; the fries were also very good. The apple-caramel cheesecake desert was a big disappointment. The crust was high in cinnamon, and low in graham. The accompanying apples were canned, served cold, and very unappealing. It is my opinion that the desert was pre-plated and sat in the cooler waiting for a customer order. My wife and I shared this standard/small slice of desert, and neither of us was interested in eating more than just a couple of bites. Two fish sandwich dinners, a Pepsi, a beer and desert cost (with tax) around $75. With tip came to $87. I cannot recommend Kix
