Located in the epicenter of Miami’s booming Brickell neighborhood, Komodo is a three-story indoor/outdoor eatery and lounge that combines contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine with a South Florida vibe to elevate the dining and nightlife experience. The menu features signature favorites including the Peking Duck, Tuna & Toro Roll, and Lobster Dynamite. The 300-seat restaurant and lounge offer several unique multi-level dining options including three bars complete with a handcrafted cocktail menu as well as the signature outdoor floating “birds nests” seating, which creates a playful treehouse feel perfect for any occasion day or night. Komodo is open for dinner seven days a week.

    The wait to get our reservation was about an hour. They had tons of people packed in the lobby area by the bar all waiting around an hour after their reservation time for their tables to be ready. When I went to ask how much longer, there were many other people complaining to them about the same thing and their response was “this is how it is every weekend”. It was chaotic and unorganized. I won’t be going back for that reason because although the food was okay, it was nothing special. You could get the same food at better places that are efficient and organized and seat you on time for your reservation.

    SUPER RUDE hostess. My reservation was at 9:30pm, after a huge line to check-in, that took approximately 20 minutes, we were still waiting standing for a long time, our table was only ready after 10:30pm, we waited, standing, for more than one hour. Meanwhile the hostess was super, super rude from the beginning. Good food, but, unfortunately, not worth the very bad treatment we got from the front desk staff.

    Great place for a special dinner or night with friends - it’s a bit of a “scene” but not uncomfortably so and still able to carry a conversation. Food and service both great! Friends and I ordered family style - shishito peppers, salmon, Brussels sprouts were my favorites. Major shout out for the kung fu cocktail that comes in a cute panda cup.

    I have been going to Komodo for years and some of the items are not as good as they used to be. The salmon tacos had a bit of a refrigerator taste to them and the wagyu dumplings used to be amazing and now they wee just 80 percent dough and barely any filling. The Peking duck is still amazing and the best I have had in miami n
