My wife and I dine monthly with longtime friends. As Kona is new, we were willing to test it - and invite our friends. Our united opinions are as follows: Positive: architecture/decor is very pleasing. Negative: the music is ridiculously loud, and the choice of music is poor. Food service was extremely slow. Our server brought the bill to us WITHOUT offering dessert. The overall impression of our party of 4: this is a venue for diners who are in their teens and 20s - and others who think they’re in their teens and 20s. Had we known the venue had a DJ stand, we would not have dined there. Further, the price was not worth the experience we had.

This was my first time at the restaurant. The physical environment is attractive. We were there for lunch. It was not busy. There were a few other diners. We waited forever for our food to arrive. One of us ordered the "Power Lunch" which I think was advertised as supposed to arrive quickly. When the first course of clam chowder finally arrived it was cold! When we got the attention of a server she took it back to the kitchen but then our server returned to the table to apologize and say that "things were really cold in the kitchen" and that they were out of clam chowder now but she could bring out an extra order of fries (fries were already included in the meal). I ordered Pad Thai that appeared as a pile of noodles on a plate with a few dried out pieces of chicken. It appeared to be reheated leftovers or maybe a TV dinner that had been heated up? When we were presented with the bill my meal cost $31 although the price on the menu was $29. I can honestly say that this is the worst restaurant experience that I have ever had. I won't be back.

Way overpriced on food items. Server was a great guy but otherwise just not worth it.

Too few gluten free options, menu items all expensive. Food was very good but hefty bill @ $142 for 2 people.

I have gone to many Kona Grilles in the past specifically Las Vegas. However, very nice people working but completely disorganized and the food was overpriced for the quality offered. I will not be returning anytime soon. not interested in paying about $200 for a mediocre meal.

Kona Grill is new to Bridgeport Village. The ambience is cold with hard tile floors and low quality tables and chairs. There was not a selection of local beers on tap or in bottles/cans. The choices were all national brand industrial beers. The only quasi-local and only IPA offered was a Ninkasi and even that was out of stock. I rarely see a restaurant in the Portland area these days that doesn't have even a single IPA selection! The server said the kitchen could not serve the prime rib medium rare. She said it is pre-cooked and is only available medium or well done. Needless to say that we will most likely not return. Oh, and parking is a nightmare. It was pouring rain and all that was available was a parking structure a long way away. Valet parking was available for $8, adding insult to injury.

Nice new place in Bridgeport. The food and service were very good. Fun atmosphere! We loved the DJ playing the 80’s hits. We’ll be back.

Our server was kind and attentive. My wife's beef filet was gristlie and tough. The price was a bit high.
