The server/waiter was really nice. We loved the ambience of the place and the chicken was okay just nothing extraordinary but the steak was GREAT!

We recently dined at La Belle Helene, supposed high-end dining. While the ambiance, atmosphere, and decor were quite good, the overall dining experience fell flat. Right away, the absence of tablecloths—replaced by brown paper—felt out of place for a restaurant advertising itself as fine dining. Our oysters and soup arrived at the same time, with no extra plates for the oysters. The food itself was, at best, mediocre. The trout almondine had a soft, almost steamed texture skin with none of the expected crispness, making it unappetizing. The Steak Frits - steak was overcooked and disappointingly small in portion. While the setting was impressive, a restaurant’s main appeal should be its food—and unfortunately, this one didn’t deliver. Given the price point and expectations, we left disappointed. I don’t think we’ll be back.

Beautiful setting, great atmosphere, and tasty food. Travis went the extra mile and hooked us up with freshly baked croissants that were not on the dinner menu. They were superb!

We had a reservation at 6:30 and we weren’t seated until 7:15. The restaurant made it completely enjoyable though by bringing us champagne and comping some appetizers. The food was simply delicious and the ambience is spectacular. The noise level wasn’t too bad at all which we wondered about, since we were celebrating a 77th birthday. We loved it and will certainly be back!!

I thoroughly enjoyed hosting my birthday dinner with a few friends at La Belle Helene! The Valentine’s Day Pre-Fix menu was delicious. We each enjoyed our 3-course meal. Our server was so polite and helpful in helping us make selections. The decor was beautiful. The service was quick. I would highly recommend this place for a date night or small group get together. The private dining rooms are ideal for someone looking to host a fancy dinner but still be able to talk and fellowship with their party.

Overall great experience, however, my only complaint was that they switched their traditional French menu to their generic Valentine’s Day menu. I get that they wanted to push in as much ppl in during Valentine’s wknd but still was a bummer. Food was good but wanted the authentic French food versus a typical steak with a frenchy twang to it. Will be back to try the escargot and duck a l’orange

Server took orders. We did not receive the main order for an hour and 15 minutes. The steak frites were not hot/warm. Eventually the server reduced our hill on the entrees from $80 to $40.

The shrimp cocktail is phenomenal! Such amazing flavor. If you like quiche, then I would highly recommend that as well.

I didn’t really like the service and the customers were so rude and just kept staring at me and my husband. There was this customer just laughing at us for no reason. Also the servers took a long time to come by and ask what we wanted to eat. Just didn’t enjoy it honestly! But very beautiful!
