This is one of the better dining experiences in Florence. Open just one year, the chef comes to your table and has you taste new dishes he is exploring… meanwhile his partner walks you through each dish and made great wine pairing recommendations. Small, cozy and all pasta is made on premise and food purchased next door at Mercado San Ambrogio…. A true ‘gem’ (Chicca)!

This restaurant was the perfect place to eat dinner on my birthday. We all did the blind tasting and were so happy with the variety of the selection and the extra courses that were brought to our group. As soon as I come back to Florence this will be the first restaurant I go to!

While planning our week in Florence over the festive season I booked a few restaurants in advance to avoid disappointment. La Chicca restaurant was absolutely outstanding and the perfect place to celebrate Christmas Day. I will be talking about the wonderful experience we had for a very long time and we will definitely be back to enjoy the imaginative fish courses next time we are here.

Very enjoyable dinner. Food was incredible and service was great. Chef came out to the table several times and made great recommendations. A truly exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended and will visit again the next time in Florence.

We were treated to an amazing experience after choosing to order the tasting menu. The food was unique, creative, and fantastic. Each course was elegant and they just kept coming! The service was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

During our two-weeks in Rome and Florence our group of 10 enjoyed great food, but our dinner experience at La Chicca was absolutely fantastic. Chef Vittorio De Mena provided a unique menu easily catered to individual requests. Our server Marco provided us with recommendations and created a fun relaxing atmosphere. Start to finish Marco and staff were on top of every detail, even arranging transportation for our departure. If ever in Florence, La Chicca will be at the top of our list, a true gem!
