   Love this new redo of the old Mexican restaurant that was in that location. What an upgrade! Everything was great. The only thing that we both noticed was the Iced tea glasses were just a hair on the small side, which necessitated a lot of trips for the waiter or bus staff to go get more tea.

   We went in for happy hour but it is only in bar area which was loud. Our meals were $24 and with a glass of wine the total with tip was $80. More then we wanted to spend at 4:30 in the afternoon. Would have liked happy hour pricing in our section.

   The food was good. Bar service was slow. Entrees came out while still enjoying salads. The bugs of being a new restaurant are obvious but manager was present and seemed to be paying attention to every detail.

   New restaurant in north Scottsdale and it’s really busy so make sure you make reservations. 6 of us had reservations at 6pm, we were seated quickly but then waited 20 minutes for a drink order to be taken and another 15 for them to arrive. (1 drink had something odd floating in it and was sent back, the margaritas are good but the glasses are so overfilled with ice there isn’t much to drink. We placed our food order and for some of us it came with soup or salad, it arrived and right after that the main course was delivered too (seemed rushed and not enough room on the table for all the plates). Everyone’s food was delicious and enjoyed. Quantities were substantial. Will go there again but I hope the service improves.

   The food at La Cosina was very good. The service was ok, My husbands food arrived after the rest of us were done eating. No frozen Margaritas, they used the excuse that it was due to it being too cold and they were waiting until it got warmer, which made no sense. They did finally come back with the machine was not working. The manager was very nice and she did comp my husbands food since it took so long to get. They also gave us a gift card, which I felt was important and will probably bring us back.

   The food and service were excellent. Our server, Ky, did an outstanding job making sure that we were never out of chips or salsa and that our drinks were full! I will say that the interior is beautiful! Pretty upscale for a Mexican Restaurant.

    We couldn’t wait to try out our new neighborhood restaurant. We went there for lunch and the food, service and ambience were stellar! We will definitely become regulars! We heard about the shrimp tacos and they did not disappoint! I’ve missed SoCal Mexican food. So glad you’re in the neighborhood!
