The loud music and singing from the bar seemed inappropriate for a fine French dining experience. The food was wonderful and the service was even better. Kudos to Jody and staff.

I want to start out by saying the food and service were excellent and I would have given them 5 stars for everything BUT...my wife and I sat down at 8:00 for dinner, ordered our drinks, ordered our food, and then were treated to the HORRIBLE sound of karaoke from the 6 seat bar area in the entrance to the restaurant. It was so loud we couldn't have a conversation without yelling. It was a combination of show tunes, and possibly opera by one person, and it was possibly the worst singers I've ever heard do karaoke (to make matters worse). I told my wife that if I heard the refrain "downtown" from the bar area again I was going to go pull the plug on whatever machine was making the awful racket. The website should come with a warning that it is possible to have a wonderful meal ruined by noise pollution...

Always a good time. Last minute valentines dinner for us. Escargot and french onion soup was superb. Shared rack of lamb addition for entree. Perfect amount of food! Tonia was excellent helping us out.

Wonderful, intimate restaurant in a cozy setting. Delicious, genuine French cuisine with fresh local ingredients. Wait staff are superb.

Very good food, everyone at our table enjoyed it a lot. My steak frites was cooked just right and the escargot were great. Good cocktails and the wine list is not long, but adequate and the prices reasonable for a restaurant. The service was exemplary. There when you wanted it to be and not constantly asking "is everything okay?" All the staff were quite friendly. This is more of a special occasion place although it's fine for casual dining too. It can be a little loud, but not overly so. Give it a try, not many French restaurants around here and this is a fine example.

Meg knows how to coax the best out of seafood, and Tanya provides excellent hospitality. It's why La Fable continues to be a favorite😋

We love La Fable. We have only recently started going and each visit is more enchanting than the last. If you have the opportunity to order the Cream of Crab soup, do it. It’s silky and smooth and the crab is tender and sweet, it makes you want to lift the bowl and drink what you can’t reach with your spoon. Next is the Steak Frites which was amazing again (I had it last time) and I don’t order steak when I’m out but Chef Benjamin prepared it so perfectly last time, that I had to order it again, and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered the scallops which were thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented and layered with a host of flavors which he savored. Tonia and Peter were solicitous without being overbearing. You must ask Peter about the Honeymoon table where we were seated this evening. See you next time!

La Fable in Rehoboth Beach DE is a favorite for my wife and I. We live about 3 hours away, but when we are able, we do our best to return when we come to the beach and have even made the drive several times just to return for special occasions. The food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful.
