La Fisheria offers a vibrant dining experience with "fantastic food and service." Guests rave about the "great pulpo" and authentic Mexican seafood dishes like Tamal de Elote con Camarones. The welcoming staff enhances the lively atmosphere, although some note slow service and acoustics as drawbacks. A favorite spot for pre-theater meals.

For the price, the food was frankly not very good. We were there before a play and gave ourselves plenty of time to eat . . . Or so we thought but 1 hour and 45 minutes was apparently not enough - even though they weren’t all that crowded. I asked about a wine and the server said she could not give me a taste b/c the bottle wasn’t open so she brought the bottle for me to look at. She left it for 15-20 minutes and didn’t come back. The condensation from the cold bottle made the table quite wet and we had to find her and ask her to come back so we could place our order (I was out of the mood to order a drink by that time). When we placed our order, we asked if we’d be able to finish in time to make our play and she told us there are other people with orders ahead of us and she couldn’t promise it. Funny thing is that if she came back to take our orders 15 minutes earlier when we were ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem. We did make it only because we asked which items on the menu could be prepared quickly (we did not feel very appreciated). The food was so-so . . . Definitely nothing special. The salmon was good but the tuna was very dry. We won’t be back.

We had the tacos and calamari and both dishes felt like they came from a low-grade freezer section of a grocery store. Nothing was fresh

We had lunch at La Fisheria prior to attend a show at a local theatre. I randomly chose a spot near the theatre and to my surprise the food and service was awesome! I had the Tilapia and chargrilled oysters. My friend had the octopus and tamales. Everything was fresh and well seasoned! I would highly recommend this place!

Visitamos el lugar y mi esposa pidió el pulpo y yo el pescado pompano y los dos muy ricos. Para empezar docena de ostiones crudos y bastante ricos. A mi esposa le gustaron con la salsa habanera. Gladys nos atendió muy bien

A group of five friends dined here after the opera. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. The service was excellent. We all said we needed to come back here more often. The only fly in the ointment was the noise level. I don't understand why restaurants insist on playing loud music. Acoustics were not good in the restaurant and the reverberations made it virtually impossible to hear each other. We did ask them to turn the volume down and they did which helped somewhat. Other than the noise level, we really liked this place.
