   This was an amazing experience. The service and food was perfect, the staff was attentive and so nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant especially for a special occasion.

   We’ve been to La Foret many, many times and always had a great experience/amazing food. This time we came to celebrate a 9th anniversary and unfortunately, it was subpar— we left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. Details and experiences listed below impacted our view of the restaurant and left us with a mediocre experience. 1. We had a reservation made for 8:30pm, arrived on time just to be told that our table was not yet set-up and it took about 17 minutes to be seated. This wasn’t the biggest issue just we generally get seated right away with reservations. 2. The seating we had wasn’t the best, we were in a smaller room with a total of 3 tables and we could hear conversations and noise echo throughout the small room. Our table was at the wall at an exit door with a thick red curtain that kept getting in the way when eating. 3. The food was not as good as we remembered. The only good food that was worth what we paid was the Prauns Meunière — prauns were cooked perfectly and sauce was delicious and went well with the butter and sourdough bread. I got the Wild Boar and my partner got the American Wagyu and both were definitely different and not in a good way. My Wild Boar sauce had a bitterness and almost chard burned flavor that was so overpowering for the pork. My partner’s American Wagyu was slightly charred on the top so it had a thick and dry crust and only had a small section that was cooked rare like he requested. For it being a $100+ entree we would expect it to be perfectly cooked. Additionally the mixed vegetables for both of our entrees were unseasoned sautéed onion, bell peppers, and zucchini. The mixed veggies were awkward and didn’t go well with the boar or beef. We thought the veggies clashed with the dishes and overall cheapened the dishes into tasting like a take-out stir fry. 4. It was our 9th anniversary which we mentioned in reservation and in-person and nothing special was done or offered to celebrate our day. We will not be returning.

   We have been going to this restaurant for 20 years. Its good but expensive. We saw their discount cards at Costco and so bought them and brought the whole family. But was surprised that La Foret included Dec 21 as a black out date for the cards and would not accept them for payment. Buying these cards is an act of trust and loyalty because they are non-refundable. We have purchased a lot of restaurant discount cards over the years at Costco for other restaurants and never had an issue with blackout dates. Anyone can check online, and in fact I double-checked this morning on the Costco site with several other restaurants - no mention of blackout dates. So it is unusual for these cards, offered by restaurants thru Cosco. To be clear, the La Foret card DOES list the blackout dates in small type on the back of its card. However, it seems unusual practice compared to the other cards provided in this channel, and so we missed it. Under these circumstances, we would have liked to see La Foret honor their cards. Instead, our experience ended with disappointment.

   Fantastic experience. Great staff, Great service . Superb food. Tanya was amazing, served with class and left nothing unnoticed with what we requested. We will be definitely be back.

   We always go there on our wedding anniversary. This was #55. Really liked that they were open for lunch in December. I hope this happens every December as it's a dark windy road to drive to at night.

   We had an excellent meal in celebration of my birthday. The Venison with the berry balsmic reduction was AMAZING! It is one of my all time favorites. Husband had the Veal in a cream sauce that he loved. Afterr the Carpaccio appetizer and the Spinach Beet Salad that were both excellent, we had to pass on dessert as we were just too full. Would highly recommend.

   Always wonderful, and this time was no different. The maitre d' and wait staff are always great, and the food and cocktails are spectacular.
