Le grand Boucherie was quite the experience. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Warm and cozy yet elegant and refined. We start with the foie gras and the French onion soup. The soup was hot and tasty with a perfect ratio of cheese and soup. The foie gras was smooth and flavorful. For dinner we had the branzino which was the entire fish and broiled perfectly and deboned completely. The scallops were tender and juicy, the steak frites cooked to order. Don’t miss dessert. The profiteroles were amazing with the chocolate sauce poured at the table so the ice cream is not melted. We almost ordered a second helping!

We had a great dining experience. Kami was our server and she was fantastic: very professional and friendly. Food was very tasty and nicely presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Thanksgiving special food was just okay. Next time I won’t sit at the bar. It was the second time and both times the service I got at the bar was lousy.

Beautifully festive for the holidays. A lovely and engaging server. Food was good! Profiteroles were great for dessert. If I had one suggestion a little more flavor added for the petite salad.

Gorgeous restaurant! Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Ambiance was excellent. Hostess was welcoming. Our server, Ezra, was polite & attentive. Fernando was also wonderful. It’s nice to find a place to enjoy rose champagne by the glass. The onion soup, lobster bisque & filet mignon tasted very good. Desserts could be improved. Basque cheesecake is not really basque style & Paris Brest fell flat. Otherwise, lovely experience.

What a true and absolute delight! My daughters and I loved La Grande Boucherie! It was one of the highlights of our recent Chicago visit. The food was wonderful, as were the wine selections (and mocktails!) and the beautiful holiday decor. We had oysters, the fromage board, a beautiful salmon, French Onion soup, salads and more. I had a lovely Sancerre, and we topped everything off with profiteroles. But the best part of the experience was the impeccable service. From the moment we left our coats at the front hosted stand to the last moments after dessert and a quick personal tour of the gorgeous second level, we were enchanted. A special thank you to Rachid from Paris for his terrific recommendations, allowing us to practice French and being a bright spot of our entire trip. Attentive, funny, kind! A server can make or break a restaurant experience, and in this case, the service shined bright! We would love to come back when we’re in the city again! Highly enjoyed!

We were a party of 6 for brunch right at 11 on Sunday. Mando and team were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent. Our table had oysters, steak and eggs, a croque madame, jambon and gruyère sandwich, french toast with mixed berries, beef bourguignon, and a burger - plus mimosas and mocktails. Two of us had tea service with a shared pot of water, individual tea bags, and individual little pots of honey. Bottomless mimosas for a few of us were lovely too. Best, they brought a slice of cheesecake for our birthday girl and sang happy birthday and feliz cumpleaños, and then later las mañanitas. It was a delightful end to the birthday weekend.
