Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

From the moment we walked in the building itself is captivating. It was an old bank transformed! The ceiling is stunning! Our waitress Andrea was spectacular! As was the support staff working there. There is even a Sommelier on staff!!! The food was delicious! We ordered typical French cuisine and were not disappointed!! I would definitely recommend

Amazing experience at this place. Service was top notch, food was on point, came out fresh and in reasonable time. Term of the NY steak was perfect and the meat very tender. Wine is 50% off Sunday to Thursday and we had 2 bottles of great wine, recommended by our server Christian, who was attentive and treated us 5/5. We shared different desserts across our table and all were great, the profiteroles and cheesecakes were my favorites. You get what you pay for, the place is elegant and very well decorated, the live music was great.

I recently had one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever tasted. From the first bite, it was clear that every element was carefully crafted to perfection. The patty was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to just the right temperature (I asked for medium well), with a perfect sear on the outside that added an irresistible charred taste. If you’re a burger lover, this is an experience you don’t want to miss. Our server Christian was kind, and he explained to us patiently the menu. I recommend firmly trying the cocktails.

The food was just as remarkable as the building. I had the duck, which was perfectly cooked(tender on the inside with a beautifully crispy skin). It was flavorful, rich, and expertly balanced with its accompaniments. I also tried a tuna salad that was simply outstanding. The combination of textures and the quality of the ingredients truly stood out. The service was just as exceptional, with attentive staff (Christian) who made sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. This restaurant is a must-visit in DC. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Excellent restaurant! Our servant Christian was very kind and attentive to everything! Excellent food, great service, great atmosphere, excellent wine selection. I asked for Wagyu Carpaccio as an appetizer, duck prosciutto for main course and crème brûlée for desert. Everything was great! Highly recommended.

Beautiful ambiance but the foot was very expensive and just not that good. Le Dip is way better and much less expensive. It was my second time eating here and was underwhelmed both times--especially given the high prices.

Service was a bit slow, and there was no privacy in conversation due to the tables being so close together. My steak was a bit tough, but the sauce was great. The atmosphere was nothing short of outstanding. Overall, I would go back. But next time I would hope for faster service and a better table. Could have been better for the price.
