    From making the reservation to the last bite of dessert, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly and efficient. We happened to arrive shortly after two large holiday party groups, so our entree orders were a little slower than normal, but our server did a great job keeping us posted on timing. The food was delicious, and we were able to comfortably visit throughout the meal

    Food was good - one of our party had pasta that seemed to be undercooked. Service was okay but seemed to take a long time to get our food. Felt a bit overpriced for the quality of food and service. Biggest complaint is that we were seated towards the front of the restaurant and every time someone entered or exited - our entire table got a very cold blast of air. This also happened when the servers used a side door to serve customers in the AlpenGlobes.

    The price on open table for the buffet per person differed from the price when we got to restaurant. Our waiter didn’t greet us and only brought our drinks half way through the service. He said he sent them to the wrong table but I’m not sure how another table would have ordered the same exact drinks. The buffet food was dry because they just had them sitting out, uncovered. The mashed potatoes had a crust on them from sitting out and the servers would stir it in to get rid of the crust on top, but it resulted in the thickest blob of mashed potatoes I’d ever seen. The turkey was cut into pieces and laid under a heat lamp, which again, resulted in it being leathery and dry. Some parts had the texture of jerky. The dessert bar was a mess. The plates were tiny but then they had huge pieces of pie and cheesecake. The serving utensils had layers of sticky crumbs and filling stuck to them from people trying to cut and serve themselves and mixing the utensils between items. And yet again, most of the desserts were dry as they’d been sitting out for hours. The pumpkin cheesecake was good but I could tell it wasn’t made in house.

    Overall I enjoyed this place. The food was a mixed bag, some dishes and desserts were best I have ever had others were forgettable. The dining was louder and busier than I would expect for the price. Table service was absolutely the best.

    The service and ambiance were spectacular. The food left something to be desired. My husband's steak entree tasted good, but came out cold. I ordered the scallop risotto and I make risotto frequently at home. The scallops were a bit bland, which could be explained only if they use clarified butter. The risotto was cooked well but critically undersalted and that is coming from someone who almost never adds additional salt when eating out. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding which also came out cold, which was disappointing because the cast iron it was served in was nice and warm. This is not to say that all the food was bad. The bruschetta, which was a cold appetizer was good to me, but my husband who grew up fairly close to Italy was not impressed. The resiling wine was good, sweet and refreshing. The thyme gimlet was delicious and the mushroom bisque that we both ordered was very good. Due to the cold food items that were supposed to be warm though cannot in good conscious give them over a 3 star.
