An homage to the San Jacinto Inn, La Lucha offers a unique and indulgent menu complete with the freshest Gulf Coast-only oysters, shrimp, crab, warm biscuits and satisfying fried chicken dinners. Meaning “the Fight,” in reference to the Battle of San Jacinto, La Lucha embraces it’s rebellious side with its beverage selections, surprising guests with a variety of bubbly wines, outstanding craft beers and the essential stellar tequila and mezcal offerings. If you’re looking for amazing fried chicken, biscuits, and greens, La Lucha is the spot! I went with five friends, and we all ordered something different so we could try a bit of everything. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside—definitely a must-try. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery, and the greens had just the right amount of seasoning. The service was great too! Our server was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The vibe of the place was fun and laid-back, perfect for a group outing. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I’d definitely go back. If you’re in the area and craving some delicious comfort food, La Lucha won’t disappoint!

Had a date night here and it was perfect! We ordered shrimp & pork dumplings, the chicken special, and crispy shrimp tacos. It was all fresh and phenomenal. The service was excellent as well! We will definitely be back!

La Lucha is a restaurant that everyone who visits Houston should try. The oyster happy hour is a great deal and the La Lucha Margarita (hibiscus mezcal) is the best frozen margarita I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!!

Absolutely delicious! Will be coming back for their oysters and the fried chicken. Omg so good! Our server Chris I believe was very attentive and knowledgeable of all the foods which made it easy to order considering it was our first time there.

The food was the highlight of the experience. Simple, staple dishes elevated to a level far beyond what you usually find elsewhere. The family-style serving and multiple servers bringing out dishes straight from the kitchen added to La Lucha’s authentic feel.

We made reservations and were seated promptly in a section right next to the waiting area. As a result, there were people crowded around our tint table. Someone brought us water, but the wait staff never showed. After waiting ample time, we left. The food on the menu seemed like it would have been amazing. I'm disappointed we didn't get to try the food. It's unlikely we will return.
