   The food is fine, but it’s over-priced and the service is weak. We ordered four tacos with tuna and received three with crab and only one with tuna. Each one was roughly $9. You’re paying for the view, the expansive space and the decor, but not necessarily high-quality food.

   I had a fantastic experience at La Mar Cocina Peruana for my birthday! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly. One of the highlights was their thoughtful birthday surprise—they brought out a slice of cake and even took a Polaroid photo to capture the moment! Such a nice and fun environment, perfect for celebrating. I highly recommend this place for a great meal and a memorable experience. Can’t wait to go back!

   My wife and I celebrated our 17th anniversary at La Mar. We booked at a table in the bar area. We wanted a more festive environment. As usual, the food did not disappoint. We enjoyed the Chaufa (Amazing). My only knock is that the place is wildly over priced from head to toe. But eating anywhere on the embarcadero will cost you.

   Two vegans and one omnivore walked into the restaurant. All three walked out with big smiles and happy memories of amazing food. The fresh flavors as well as the presentation delighted us. The service was attentive and easy. Great experience all around - and we were especially grateful for so many incredible vegan choices.

   The service phenomenal and our waiter was so kind and detailed specially with the Polaroid photo for the bday! What a thoughtful detail. Food is always so delicious! Really love this place

   The food was superb! I am saving this place so I can come again next time I visit SFO. All the ingredients were fresh, service was friendly and food came out so fast! We enjoyed it very much.

   It’s a treat to have exceptional service, and La Mar delivered. The food was so fresh and our table ordered a lot of dishes to share from the ceviche sampler to a couple quinoa salads and entrees like the salmon. I was very impressed with the presentation and attention to details and hospitality.

    A lovely spot but on the expensive side. The menu is lovely but you need an interpreter because, while it is in Spanish, it uses a ton of Peruvian slang unknown to those of us from other South American countries. Consumer beware, there are very few non-fish dishes so while it is understandable that a fish restaurant, my guest had trouble finding something to eat. Having said all of this, the view is worth the money.
