Located in the heart of the Mission district surrounded by restaurants, bars and boutique shops,
Dinner :5 pm -10 pm. A little menu with a lots of flavors like the braised lamb riblets or the unique Tunisian deviled eggs. A full bar with a selection of spirits and exclusive Tunisian wines and alcohol. all served in a very cozy warm and charming setting.

The star of the evening was undoubtedly the grilled octopus, prepared with a masterful touch that spoke to the chef's expertise with seafood. The tender tentacles, charred to perfection, carried subtle notes of harissa and lemon, while maintaining the natural sweetness of the meat. Each bite offered that ideal combination of crispy exterior and buttery-soft interior that octopus aficionados dream about. The lamb dish proved equally impressive. Slow-cooked until falling off the bone, the meat was perfumed with an aromatic blend of traditional Tunisian spices. The accompanying bread, light and fluffy, served as the perfect vehicle for soaking up the rich, complex sauce. What sets this establishment apart is their commitment to authentic Tunisian coastal cuisine while maintaining exceptional quality across their menu. The kitchen demonstrates a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques while adding subtle contemporary touches that enhance rather than overshadow the classic flavors.

Tunisian food is incredible, and Gola elevates the experience of it. Excited to see this restaurant flourish.

Great food and great cocktails. Chicken Tangine was delicious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming but service was a little slow, they seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday evening. The music was a little bit too loud, generally the ambiance was pleasant but it would have been more intimate if the music had been turned down a little. Regardless, highly recommend on account of the cuisine.

Flavors were terrific. Authentic Tunisian cuisine. Beautifully presented. Staff was wonderful. Nice atmosphere, but pretty noisy once all the tables were full.

Personal Interaction with the proprietor and chef made the evening extra special. Great experience. The Mezcal cocktail, wine and the Tunisian specialty fig Brandy were delicious as well.

This was our first time at Gola. We loved everything: the apps, mains, sides, drinks, service, and vibe. It's a bit pricey for a neighborhood spot, but it was still packed on a Wednesday night.

Everything we had was delicious. We had 4 different cocktails. We tried four out of the five appetizers. We had the lamb tajine, couscous and eggplant with harissa. We loved it all and promised ourselves to make a habit of it. The service could not have been nicer. There were two servers and perhaps part owners who served and made cocktails, but they were attentive and very industrious and quite generous. Five stars for everything.

Everything about our dinner at Gola was fabulous! The ambience is warm and welcoming. The staff, knowledgeable and charming. The cocktails were a revelation (do try something with Boukha; a fig brandy) . We opted for several appetizers and entree to share and everything was delicious! Don’t forget to order their homemade bread and couscous so that no sauce goes to waste. We can’t wait to return!

This place is a gem! The food was excellent — I had the chicken tagine, which is a medly of well-balanced flavors from lemon, to olive, the the onion-y broth and the chicken itself which falls off the bone. The pureed carrots with housemade bread was also a lovely starter dish, and my partner loved both of his fish -oriented dishes. The space is cozy with some Tunisian influenced decor, and the price range is quite reasonable especially for this overpriced city. We will definitely return.
