Located on the 5th floor of the Austin Proper Hotel, La Piscina Ceviches & Fajitas is a convivial poolside restaurant and bar serving Texas-inspired Mexican cuisine. The vibrant, open space overlooks the downtown Austin bustle as groups convene over family-style platters, ceviches and table-top sizzling fajitas, with fresh seafood grilled over a wood fire and house-made tortillas from an open comal. We dined here for our last dinner in Austin. Yelp reviews were pretty good so we thought we'd give it a try. Everything about this place was amazing! We ordered the pineapple and soy ribeye fajitas and it was the best we've had. The meat was so well marinated and of great quality. So much so that the ribeye almost melted in your mouth. The cheese sauce and grilled veggies were also very good. Homemade tortillas and chips and salsa were great as well. Our server was attentive, polite and timely. Made for a terrific dining experience we will remember Austin for!

If you want subpar food with a side of dismissive service go here. I went for my husbands birthday and left so disappointed and underwhelmed. Our server was dismissive and rushed to the point of not getting our order correct. I also left with a headache because the noise level was absurd, you couldn’t hear anything outside of everyone yelling because it was so loud. Will not return.

Tacos very good, salsa excellent. Drinks good but expensive. Service very nice. Noise level way too loud. Too many drunk dudes yelling.

Every single thing was absolutely delicious. Such a sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. I would come here over and over.

Food is absolutely delicious!! Service was great!! … only thing I would add; it’s a bit dark… and if other guests are loud … it is loud.

Outstanding service and delicious Mexican food. We all enjoyed our meal tonight. Quality and fresh food from start to end. Our server Ally and the staff were superb! We will definitely dine here again.
