   I visit Italy several times a year for work. Even so, Eataly is one of my favorite restaurants. I like the Downtown World Trade Center location.

   Gorgeous restaurant with very friendly staff. Beautiful views of the city and World Trade Center/ Memorial. The pizza was INCREDIBLE! My kids loved the different shaped pizzas, they chose the bunny shaped pizza.

   I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and this was the first time the service was awful. The food was great and the waiter came out to check on us a couple of times which was perfectly paced but as soon as he dropped off the check he came by every 30 seconds asking if we were ready to pay when we were clearly figuring it all out. Then one of the leads asked if we were waiting for something and we made a comment that we were being kicked out and she snapped and said “no, it’s about where we are placing our reservations” and rolled her eyes at us. When we walked out there was nobody waiting for a table at all. The food was amazing as always but we normally take our time here and enjoy the food and company but were so rushed and felt like we were bothering the staff by just being there. It was uncomfortable.

   Excellent lunch with a lovely view of the 9/11 reflecting pond and waterfall. Great service from Justin as our waiter.

   2nd visit. 1st visit November 2023 was great however we went there last night. 9pm. Food was exceedingly poor. 1st course focaccia bianco and polpette. Focaccia was stale and very hard pastbits best by a couple of days. The meatballs bland, not enough seasoning. Inconsistent aswell we ordered two of these. One came warm and chunky tomato sauce, 2nd one was runny sweet and cold also had what looked like parmesan over the meatballs not good at all. But then it got worse ordered pollo alla milanese with some pasta. So the chicken was burnt and solid and no pasta came out. Showed the waiter and we couldn't cut through it. He took it back and replaced it with a calzone. Unfortunately the calzone was undercooked, ham pale and fatty with cheese not melted. It was ghastly. A pizza massese was okay but under cooked by a minute or two. As for dessert Tiramisu was okay but the mini coni was poor. Stale and wet. This was a really poor experience and the staff ignored the email that was sent.

   The service was terrible. The waiter did not listen, never checked on us and left us waiting to order for over 20 minutes and took forever to bring the check.
