   George was great! He definitely was overworked and wasn’t able to give as much time to people dining at the bar because he’s also making drinks with little help :/

   Service was absolutely horrible. Entire staff was inattentive and ignorant. Our waitress only came to our table 1 time to order our food, did not check in on us, we had to call her over multiple times to order drinks and get the check. We also asked her for a new wine glass, which she didn’t bring, so we proceeded to ask THREE other employees who also didn’t bring the glass. 30 minutes later we found our server and finally asked her again for the glass. Overall absolutely awful service that ruined our experience. As the food was really good, I would never return.

   Disappointed by the seating, the long wait to receive drinks and the slow service. NY Strip arrived cold and it took 10+ minutes to get a steak knife. No fresh plates or utensils were delivered after the first course.

   Our server Rose was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Her team provided great service. Delicious meal to celebrate any occasion.

   The food was soooo good! Loved the Leek & Egg plant, Shrimp cocktail, and french onion fondue. Steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. The sides of fries, Cauliflower, whipped potatoes, and mushrooms were to die for! Needless to say we didn’t make it to dessert, but the service was impeccable and overall it was sooo great!

   Our server, George, was distracted at best. Our water was never refilled without our asking. He was rarely within view and all other staff seemed to avoid eye contact to not have to help. We spent $500 for 3 people with mediocre service. It took 20 minutes to receive and pay the check, which included an annoying 3.5% “service charge.” Inam sure we could have requested its removal, but at that point we were running late for our next commitment. If a restaurant needs 3.5% service, raise the prices. To say it’s for Covid is a joke. No one wearing masks, no sanitizer anywhere. It’s owner greed hoping most won’t question it. Based on this experience, I’d highly recommend going elsewhere. Many more French restaurants in West Loop/River North that deliver a far superior experience.

   The atmosphere absolutely delivers. I was able to try 5 of the entrees and they were all fantastic, favorites were the lamb chops and the bass (surprisingly). Service was impeccable, everyone is welcoming and accommodating. Perfect date night or family/friends upscale dinner.

    I came to La Serre when it first opened and was beyond impressed. I was excited to bring out of town guests tonight. Sadly it did not live up to the memory I had. Food was good not great. We were sat in the bar as a table of 5 and service was slow at best. Our server was nice but was also tending bar which made our meal so much longer than necessary. We left to get our own night cap and dessert elsewhere. Please fix the service before we come back.
