The name Verace, meaning "authentic" in Italian, reflects the essence of the family who immigrated from Naples, Italy, to Texas. Now rooted in the Lone Star State, the name La Stella ("The Star") symbolizes their journey. The family's goal in opening La Stella was simply to share their generational passion for authentic, verace (quality-driven) Italian recipes, complemented by warm Southern Italian hospitality.

We were not seated in the main dining room even though there was room. Air conditioning was blasting. Service was mediocre. Split salads were not put in separate plates. Wine was not a good value, priced at four times retail. This was my fourth time. The other three times were great. I had guests in from out of town and everyone was very disappointed

The food was great and the atmosphere even better. WT Greer was exceptional on the piano and vocals. Our service was excellent. It was my first visit and I will be back. FYI order the Tiramisu for dessert and don't skip the octopus appetizer.

What an exceptional experience; food, service, and atmosphere. If you want quality Italian, La Stella is the place to go. It is going to be on the high end for price but the restaurant is worth it. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. The calamari is fantastic and their pastas are great.

The food was just better than good. The ambiance was awful. We had never dined at this restaurant but we're hoping for a romantic spot for hubby's birthday. I even asked for a quiet table. They had a lounge singer in the restaurant who was singing incredibly loud the entire time we were there. He even walked around to tables singing to others. It really sucked the fun out of the dinner. The pricing on the food was fine but the wine pricing was extreme. I understand restaurant mark ups but it was incredibly excessive. I had higher hopes!

La Stella has authentic, elevated Italian cuisine. We had the octopus, cotoletta (veal), caprese salad, paparedelle, etc. It all was excellent. We are fortunate to eat at high end restaurants and have traveled extensively. La Stella hits the mark and defines the balance we look for in a dining experience. Pro tip: order things for the table to share so that you can take some home to warm up the next day!!

Adriano was outrageous and outstanding! Be sure and ask for his table! Maitre d checked on our booth several times for well being and drink & food suggestions, much appreciated.
