   Had the lobster croquettes, two specials: scallops and tuna tartare, and the Yellowfin tuna main— all delicious! My favorite was the tuna tartare special. Wow!

   We had an outstanding experience at La Tapa twice on this trip. The food was excellent and interesting. The service was perfect, the staff friendly and attentive. Loved having the beach as a background, especially during sunset. Would definitely recommend.

   I recommend getting seated shortly before sunset as the dining room overlooks the beach, bay and ferry terminal which is simply magical. The reason I rated the food as a 4 and not 5 is due a pork dish I ordered was very chewy, medium rare (which may be ok as they served pork medium rare). The meal was returned which an adjacent table returned the same meal. The appetizers and my girlfriend’s meal was excellent! Drinks were ok and not so generous for martini’s. Dessert was also delicious. Overall the experience was exceptional except for my meal which may have been an exception due to its excellent reputation

   Tuna tartar was amazing. Gazpacho was lovely. Mahi mahi was freshly caught that day and seasoned perfectly and couldn’t have tasted better! What a beautiful view of the beach and sunset. Service was great. Highly recommend this place!

   It was my husband’s birthday. Everything was so good. We celebrated with a bottle of champagne and really enjoyed the evening. As always, the food, presentation and service were outstanding!

   Beautiful view. Right on Cruz bay. Bring your phone because there are a bunch of glamorous words on menu for things like duck and shrimp. Salad appetizers, main course and desserts all very good but would say most of the menu was non traditional. Pan breaded and fried hammered veal. Crab cakes made with shrimp and lobster with cucumber sauce. Vanilla ice cream with saffron. Unique meal. We would go back.

   An enjoyable experience. Great atmosphere, terrific cuisine and a menu that allows you to eat at your pace. Small plates and big plates really make it customizable to your appetite. The food quality is top tier and the harbor view and waves lapping on the shore make for a Caribbean vibe that does not disappoint. Cheers

    Beautiful restaurant right on the water. Tapas menu had many interesting combination’s. We choose artichoke, Gorgonzola Caesar which was out of this world! I had pasta with shrimp and my husband had steak all knockouts. It’s a magical spot and fun to see the boats coming and going. The waitstaff was attentive and kind. Highly recommend.
