   Great welcome when we arrived for our meal - so nice to be welcomed back. All staff very attentive and happy to help with recommendations. Excellently cooked food - piping hot food and serving dishes. All was delicious once again - can highly recommend so many of the dishes (too many to name). We spent a week in February on holiday in Swanage and enjoyed 2 evenings at this restaurant.

   Excellent service all round by the gentleman who was front of house Food was very good and reasonably priced A good experience and we will be visiting again soon

   My pasta dish was good but my husband had the chicken and was disappointed. The tables are a bit too close together.

   We enjoyed our meal very much, the goat’s cheese salad was very fresh and delicious. My husband liked the grilled sea bass a lot and my pizza was excellent. Thank you, La Trattoria!

   A very good experience on our first ever visit. Our starters (bruschetta , insalata mixta) and mains (1. chicken with pancetta and creamy mushroom sauce and 2. Spaghetti carbonara were superb and the Montepulciano wine was excellent and good value. We shared a tiramisu which we both felt was sadly disappointing with no discernible alcohol infusion and rather bland. We will however be very glad to dine here again.

   Great place and food was fantastic. The only thing that I would say was slight negative is that there was no children’s menu but they do half portions of all the pastas for children this was still too big a portion for a 2 year old but it wasn’t really a problem we took the left overs home! Staff really friendly.

    We found the male waiter (think he was the manager) rather impatient and rude. Weren’t made to feel welcome but rather a nuisance.
