Since it was Thursday we enjoyed six buck a shucker PEI oysters and blue crab beignets to start, both were delicious. Next we shared a roasted beet salad dressed with an interesting and very tasty Marsala vinaigrette dresssing. For entrees we chose the pan seared cider glazed scallops served atop roasted butternut squash risotto and the shrimp and cheddar grits. The entrees were perfectly prepared and presented. Local Eatery should be a destination location for those looking for an excellent meal in an intimate venue.

Delicious! Every thing we ordered was delightful. They were super accommodating with my dietary restrictions and the service was courteous and thoughtful. Thanks for a great evening!

Fantastic food and service. We love the (albeit a bit loud) vibe of the old train depot. This is one of our favorites.

Definitely give this place a try! I love that they use fresh local ingredients. Make sure to carve out some time to enjoy as the meals are all made to order. Our server Seth is always a delight to have, very attentive to detail and knows the menu inside and out. Don’t skip the Beignets for dessert, they’re delicious!

We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and we're told we would have to wait until our reservation time. We walked in to use the restroom and saw a 2 top open and it remained open until we were seated at it at our reservation time. 🤔. The food was very good with plentiful portions. Service was slow as the staff seemed to be overloaded. It is absolutely worth going to for the creativity and quality of the meals.

A spectacular meal! The Chef's Tasting Menu is a great value - 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 entrees and 1 dessert for $125.

Our server was multitasking too much. Our food was good. The location is fine. We were outdoors with awful street noise. Does this town have a noise ordinance? I indicated we needed our check. It took our server, nice guy, about 20 minutes to return with our bill. Then it took him a long time to return with the ticket for me to sign. My wife had already gone to the car. She was truly ticked off, meaning I was ticked off too.

Food was very good and our server Kelly was on top of everything. We recommend the place for food, service and area.

I've been enjoying Local Eatery since I moved to the are almost 10 years ago. I love the farm-to-table concept and the creativity the show with their menus. It's also a treat to have the opportunity to watch the highly talented Chefs prepare each course. The staff is always friendly and happy to serve. My most recent occasion I was really impressed with the baked Feta appetizer. Wrapped in phylo dough with the creamy smoothness of the Feta complimented by hints of honey the appetizer was definitely a home run. My entrée was Duck Fettucine with a perfectly confit duck leg surround by fettucine, chestnut mushroom, leeks and sage in a brown butter sauce which was fantastic! I cleaned the plate. I finished the culinary trifecta with the Chocolate Cobbler; hot and gooey dark chocolate with a dollop of their amazing house made vanilla ice cream. When it comes to choosing where to dine in the Lakes Region, Local Eatery is an easy first choice!
