At Landscape Restaurant & Grill, right in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct, we create an unforgettable dining experience.

The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Nathaniel Embrey, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover.

Excellent food and service. High level dining yet remarkably good portion sizes for the setting and value. Would go again.

Landscape is our first choice for celebration dining in Hobart. The service is first class - professional, warm and not pretentious. The food is perfection. The ambiance is absolutely wonderful with a dark designed interior enhanced with Tasmanian timber which perfectly showcase the stunning paintings.

Everything about this restaurant was very good to excellent. The welcome, the atmosphere, the wait staff, and of course the food and wine. My fish was very fresh and the duck fat potatoes were amazing. My husband was a little disappointed with his steak, but overall we had a wonderful evening.

Our dining experience was all we wanted. An excellent French waiter, a informative sommelier and delicious meals that post dining were tolerated and enjoyed very well by us all. To be surrounded by history and great art work makes for a great dining experience. Thank you.

This was the third visit to Landscape and the restaurant never disappoints. The food, service and the ambience are first class. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny and will continue to go there every time we are in Tasmania.

Sirloin steak was very chewy and tough. Very disappointing even if it was a pub steak. Everything else was great

We were looking forward to our meal at Landscape after the restaurant being highly recommended by family who had previously dine there. Unfortunately our experience did not reflect the great reputation the restaurant has as one of Hobart’s premier dining institutions. There was considerable delay in the sommelier in attending to us, as such we had ordered our meal prior to ordering our drinks. We ordered a plate of oysters to start, followed by entrees and a main. Typically the oysters would be delivered to the table prior to the entrees, however both the oysters and the hot entrees arrived very quickly and together, and were also delivered prior to us having received our wine! The mistake was noticed by our principal waitress and the entrees were subsequently sent back to the kitchen. For mains, we both ordered an eye fillet steak, cooked rare. However both steaks were considerably undercooked. Not wanting another meal returned to the kitchen, we tolerated this as the quality of the meat itself was very good. With the exception of the above, the meals were flavoursome and the ingredients were of a high quality. The setting nestled amongst the art work was beautiful. Perhaps just a little off their reputable high standards for this night, but an average experience given the price point. We had several other similar price point meals in Hobart over the week which were far more enjoyable.
