Steeped in history, Langtry Manor is one of the most romantic and idyllic hotels set amidst the tree lined streets of the East Cliff, offering all the elegance of a country retreat yet just a short stroll from the heart of Bournemouth and the sea.
Built in 1877 by the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VII, for his mistress Lillie Langtry the house is unique in Bournemouth. Designed by Lillie herself and executed in the style of a Victorian country house it retains many of its original features - carved fireplaces, mullioned windows, original tapestries etc.
Our magnificent Dining Salon, where you will be surrounded by the splendour Lillie and her beloved Prince once enjoyed, offering freshly prepared dishes to suit all tastes. A relaxing drawing room and bar, in which to enjoy a drink or afternoon tea, Langtry Manor provides the perfect haven. Using local produce with the finest ingredients the restaurant prides itself on quality food and the finest wines.

The restaurant is described as being very romantic but I am sorry to say this was not the case. The food was nice but the restaurant was cold and the background music was really depressing. I made the comment that the restaurant was cold to the staff member and he simply agreed with me!! Not what I expected at all in terms of a response.
