The Lanivet Inn has been run by Rob and Nat Liddicoat since January 2015. We aim to respect the character of a traditional Cornish village pub, where our customers can enjoy tasty, locally sourced, wholesome food at reasonable prices. It is a popular watering hole with locals and visitors alike, where you can enjoy a great pint in a friendly atmosphere. We serve a variety of award winning local beers along our three permanent ales – Trelawney, Tribute and HSD – with one ever changing guest ale from local to national breweries. We also stock a range of fine wines.

Why not come and enjoy perhaps the biggest beer garden in the Bodmin area or join us one our fabulous games nights. Every other week we have a quiz night and we have league teams in darts, pool, euchre and Bodmin inter-pub quiz. Along with our extensive menu and daily specials, we think there is something for everyone and are confident you will not be disappointed by your visit to the Lanivet Inn.

    Great food, great beer, never disappoints. The beer garden was the perfect place for a pleasant evening meal.

    A great traditional Cornish Pub. Wonderfully unpretentious, we were greeted by people singing and having a wonderful time. It was very busy, a little delay in food which we were kept up to date on. Large menu with something to suit all tastes.

    The food was great , both having the mixed grill, and although wasn't sure on black pudding ,gave it ago,but wasn't to our liking.The food was great, the service was also great, good ambience apart from being sat near the toilets but you can't win em all lol. Martin s

    A total ruination to Mother’s Day plans. They called to ask to change table time which was fine and brought it earlier. Arrived for that time only to be greeted with no tables and having to wait half an hour to be seated. Then when we were finally seated having to wait 45 mins between starter and main was shocking. Others were waiting having been sat before us and others had had all three courses before we had even had our mains despite sitting after us. When we spoke to staff about the wait time overall and the fact that they had requested our times to change, they were extremely dismissive and a member of the public who apparently works at their sister site started mouthing off about how we should just wait and not be disrespectful. When the food came out 4 of 6 meals were brought out and then they began serving the next table. When asked about the food the only answer you ever got was it’s coming give us 5. Even emailed afterwards to share our experience having visited the pub many many times before and no reply given. It was a prime example of somewhere appearing to be too greedy and wanting to fit as many sittings in at once and truly not having the capacity or staffing to do so. We will not be returning to this pub and would urge others to stay clear for special occasions as it truly was abysmal.

    Our table wasn’t reserved and it was very noisy young children screaming and shouting the meat was very chewy and it took a long time for someone to take our order and get our food it was to late to eat I had to cancel my pudding because it was very late to eat it
