Larkin’s is an award winning restaurant serving premium cut steaks, fresh seafood, and fine wines. We offer lunch and dinner seven days a week, with an early brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Larkin’s is situated at the corner of Main and Broad in the Camperdown Plaza. This new complex is truly the heart of downtown and is a short stroll to shopping, Falls Park, and across the street from the Peace Center. Larkin's has a contemporary design while still embracing the rich history that Greenville has to offer. The food was delicious the appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Our server(Phil) was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what we would enjoy. The ambience was perfect with a respectable crowd. Phil made our 10 year wedding anniversary a special night. If you are looking for a classy restaurant with incredible food, then visit Larkin’s, it will not disappoint.

This was a great dining experience from the ambience to the service to the food. A couple of our favorites include the oysters Rockefeller and the mushroom ravioli! We would not have tried those items but our awesome served Micah recommended. He was spot on!

First, the restaurant itself is lovely, ideally located, and has a very nice menu. The staff was hospitable. We were a large party (family), and this was a holiday. So, extra credit to everyone working on the holiday, because I know from experience that's tough. The food was sadly on a continuum from underwhelming to bad, starting with how long it took to get the food... The she crab soup was custard-y. The menu advertised a surf & turf with a 5 oz filet, but the actual portion size was significantly smaller, closer to 2-3 oz. The prime rib was dry and overcooked. We asked before ordering if we could have it med rare, and we were assured it would be. It was well done. Potatoes were cold. We didn't send anything back, because: 1) literally ALL of the food was sub-par, and 2) we'd already waited a long time for the food to be served. The last straw was a glitch with our bill (we were grossly undercharged), the correction of which resulted in further delay.

We had a 12:30 reservation for our family of 6 on 12/24 and were seated on time. That was about the only thing which went well during our time there. The restaurant was at about 80% capacity (e.g 1 out of 5 tables empty). Once we were seated, nobody came to the table to check-in/take a drink order for 10-12 minutes. Most of the drinks finally showed up at the 20 minute mark, the remainder came 5-6 thereafter. We were told we could place an appetizer order momentarily. After flagging down our server, were were able to place an appetizer order...the appetizers showed up at our table at 1:17 (47 minutes after we were initially seated). We then were asked for our meal orders. We booked Larkins (a few weeks in advance) for that day due to the lunch menu they had published on the website, which was active that day, we were looking at it while sitting at the table. We were told we could not order from the lunch menu and had to order from the dinner menu, remember, this was a 12:30 reservation. At this point, we had no other option but to ride this out as other establishments were booked. Note: This ordering restriction ended up bring our lunch tab to well over $300...four of the six meals were salads. While waiting for our meals, three different servers, over the course of 20 minutes, attempted to bring us three different orders destined for other tables. The food was actually good, once if finally arrived. We received multiple "I'm sorry's" during our time, but other than that, zero attempt to make it right. There were several other "fun facts" during our time there, but I am running out of room to provide feedback. These are the facts from our experience at Larkin's...I write, you decide.

We have been to Larkins several times prior and this experience did not live up to previous times. The food was eh and the service was extremely slow.

The food was delicious. I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was flavorful and practically melted in my mouth. The kitchen kindly accommodated me by preparing this without the usual bacon since I cannot eat pork. The she crab soup is outstanding. And, the desserts were worthy of the calories they contained. Our server, Phil, was attentive but not intrusive. He made the experience relaxing and enjoyable.
