Very little ambiance. Just a large, noisy room; if seated near the kitchen, there’s lots of banging of plates, etc. Waiter seemed to rush us to order drinks and food before we had gotten a chance to review the menu. Food was just ok; a large portion of the lasagna was burnt. No bread with the meal unless you pay $5. The experience was not worth the cost.

This was our second time dining at this venue. Our first time was very pleasant. Not so, this time. We had made our reservation for 4:45pm - with hopes of obtaining favorable seating and avoiding crowded dining spaces. Upon arrival , we asked if we could be seated in a booth, within the primary dining room. We were quickly dismissed by the hostess who said they were much too busy …it was only 4:45. Instead, we were seated in a mostly empty bar (side room) on a high top table for 2 close to the bar & under a heating element. The room is surrounded by windows so the heaters were in high gear. The low back sloped chairs were made up of woven plastic resin - the kind that allow your draped jacket to fall to the floor- which it did. Our appetizer was delivered and within 1-2 minutes our entree arrived by another food handler. I explained we just received our appetizer - the table for 2 was already crowded with plates. Our server apologized and explained that appetizers and entrees come from 2 different areas & that’s why they arrived back to back. The food and drinks were satisfactory. However the bottled table water was room temperature. A large party arrived soon after and sat / stood at the bar directly behind us. The once empty room was still fairly empty with the exception of those directly behind us. Honestly, we couldn’t get out of the dining area soon enough. In and out in less than 45 minutes. Our server was the only highlight to our dining experience tonight! She was a delight! Perhaps the hostess and food handlers were inexperienced and unaware of how to help make the best use of your space and delivery of food while they’re able to- before peak dining hours.

Got there early and (miraculously) found three seats at the bar. Ordered HH snacks at a great value. The truffle fries were delish and the meatballs came with a generous topping of a ricotta mixture over the sauce. We were seated for our dinner in the area that has been recently closed in (formerly a patio bar and dining area). Our server, Judy, was patient and attentive and wonderful. We had a great reunion, catching up on old times over good food. I asked for my salmon atop my salad to be blackened and they did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Essentially a sports bar/restaurant but not obnoxiously so. What sets it apart is the quality of the food (arroncini starter, wood-fired chicken parm pizza) and the cocktails (maple bourbon old fashioned, spicy margarita). The flow kitchen gets food out quickly. The service was attentive and pleasant. We’ll be going back.

Recently held a dinner party at LaScala’s Fire in Newtown Sq. I was very impressed with the service, food and atmosphere. Our waiter, Abraham, was fantastic. He was very attentive, quick to fulfill requests, interactive with the party, and added his own bit of comedy to make the evening more enjoyable. Our dinner was delicious. I will definitly be returning soon.

First time under the new management. Disappointed. Food was good serving size but mine was stone cold, and I couldn't do anything about it because our waiter disappeared.
