    overall, a really basic experience. service was extremely slow. nothing special about this place. mediocre Middle Eastern food at a premium price. We had the kafka kebab, halloumi, and fattoush salad.

    Not worth the money - this place is definitely overrated. We ordered the mixed grill and the only thing that met the upscale quality standards was the lamb. The flavorless chicken was totally dry and the tiny assortment of roasted veggies were cold (probably prepared a few hours before). The ambience and design of the restaurant gets totally ruined by annoying and irritating guests constantly taking selfies and pictures of everything around them. Service in general was fairly slow and inattentive even though there was sufficient staff. Bottom line: if you want good food at half the price go to one of the many other Middle Eastern restaurants in town. If you want to take pictures and pretend you’re hip and don’t care about food quality go to Laylak.

    Beautiful place with a beautiful decor. It is a slower pace restaurant, which I prefer. The manager was very attentive and made sure each person was taken care of. The food was delicious! I will definitely be back.

    The food, ambience, and service were all excellent! The portions were a great size! Each appetizer easily fed two people and realistically would feed three or four if also ordering mains. Talal and the rest of the crew made it a great experience! We will be back!

    Visited with 2 friends who immigrated from Aleppo - they couldn’t believe how authentic everything was, from start to finish. We had the dip trio, and the hummus was velvety smooth - and everything was beautifully presented! Beef cheek was fall apart tender, loved the spicy potato appetizer - the mixed drinks were fabulous and offered a variety of flavours. Excellent service, orders came quickly, and the desserts were the perfect end to the night! Took our friends on a nostalgic flavour adventure, we will certainly be back! Congratulations Laylak, we will certainly be recommending this to friends and family.
