Welcome to the Crossroads, where Kansas City comes together. An evening at Lazia begins at the hearth with a complimentary house amaro blend as the sound of hip hop's greatest legends fill the room. The menu is both familiar and surprising in its selection of Italian favorites. It offers a collection of Cicchetti and Antipasti to start your meal; an expertly prepared and seasonal selection of handmade, fresh pastas; a satisfying collection of Secondi; and few moments of surprise & delight!

Named for another Crossroads O.G. and pal of Pendergast, Johnny Lazia, our dinner-only restaurant sits at the Crossroads of Italian culinary inspiration and the farms and fields of the Heartland in the Midwest.

We are currently open 7 days a week from 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Valet Parking for Lazia guests is $9, but street parking is also available.

Lazia is happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions.

Italians do not celebrate Thanksgiving and typically are a bit perplexed by the concept, often referring to it as “La Fiesta del Tacchino” (“The Turkey Party”). We are leaning into this simplified concept by offering turkey 3 ways, each dish inspired by our tried-and-true Italian roots. Celebrating Thanksgiving at Lazia is the best opportunity to experience the Italian tradition of a hearty meal with family and friends along with a modern American holiday influence. Vegetarian menu available for $75/pp and must be noted in reservation. Children ages 5-12 will be accommodated at $25. We are happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions, however we will not be able to accommodate requests regarding severe gluten allergies or celiac disease.

Our first visit to Lazia was a very good one. It is located in a very unique space that took some doing to navigate as newbies. The food was excellent and the staff were all very professional and helpful, especially our server Abbie.

The Mozzarella Madame is well worth it for just the experience alone. I don’t normally like tomato, but this was a delicious exception.

Amazing! It was a perfect night out with my sister. We felt pampered from the moment we got there to when we left. Don’t underestimate the sorbet for desert! Staff were the best!

Outstanding food, one of the best restaurants in the KC area. Good service--the waitress was able to explain everything on the menu. Different from a typical Italian restaurant. But not just different, very good food.

Very good restaurant experience. Enter the Crossroads Hotel via the main entrance (with valet booth), head up the steps, go left, and walk all the way back to a neon "Lazia" sign; the ginormous pizza oven will be on your left. I made the mistake of thinking the bar that is closer to the entrance is part of Lazia; it is not (as it is a separate establishment, called "XR"). Low lighting. Low noise level. Top-notch hospitality. Menu is full of jargon, and may require explanation, which my hostess was able to provide without issue. A different bartender than usual was working, though this ultimately did not have any bearing on quality of drinks served ("Engine No. 9", "Second Time Around"). Drinks are creative and well-crafted. Peach-infused San Germain was not available. Ordered Prosciutto San Danielle, which was fantastic; the fig jam is incredible, though a touch salty. Wagyu carpaccio was not available (kitchen ran out, as I scheduled relatively later in the dinner service). Ordered Insalata, which was frankly unpleasant to eat; it has way too many different textures and flavors, but also way too much peperoncini/giardiniera. It was also difficult to serve with a spoon, a process which might be made easier with salad tongs. Agnolotti pasta was mildly spicy and had excellent flavor, but was a small quantity. Budino de maple was a delicious lactose-free sweet treat to end the meal (or so I thought). The bar was kind enough to serve me a complimentary limoncello as digestif [due to two items (listed above) not being available]; this turned out to be quite good, as I don't typically enjoy limoncello. Service was excellent throughout my dining experience. Thank you. Will likely return and try some different items. The Mozarella per il Tavolo is reportedly a sort of performative dining experience (i.e. tableside prep), though I expect this sort of thing will only interest a select population of diners.

Our wait person was very helpful with ordering but then we asked the mozzarella tableside before appetizers and salad which didn’t happen and it was so late in coming we cancelled it. The remaining food arrived which was good but we were forgotten after that. I had to ask someone to clear the dishes and it was so long before the secondi course of chicken arrived we forgot we ordered and had moved on to dessert. Overall disappointing.

Amazing experience! The staff were all wonderful and the food was absolutely amazing. Order two small appetizers, two antipasti, and a main course. Plenty of food for the two of us. Will definitely be going back when in the KC area.

Amazing meal! From the Ensalata to the duck fat cabbage - everything was superb! Loved our server as well, took very good care of us as time wasn’t on our side, but she made sure we were fed and out the door to make our show.

My colleagues and I are in town for an event and will be talking about our incredible experience for months to come. From the bread course to the dessert and everything in between, absolutely everything we ate was amazing. Our server was so knowledgeable and guided us through the best meal I’ve ever had, hands down. We will be sure to stop in in every time we’re in the city.
