Je suis déçue que la restauration du 9e étage d'Eaton ait abouti ainsi -- un restaurant situé à l'extérieur de la salle centrale (magnifique) qui était au coeur de l'ancien restaurant d'Eaton. Il n'y a donc aucune expérience spéciale au 9e -- un restaurant ordinaire; non-historique; excluant le patrimoine. Le repas du midi fut aussi décevant: une omelette baignant (littéralement) dans une "gravy sauce". Mon compagnon a eu droit à quelques tranches de saumon sur un fond de laitue. Le service, cependant, fût excellent.

Belle expérience, le service était impeccable, très bon lunch du midi, mais j’ai trouvé les prix un peu excessifs. 9$ pour une portion de frites, c’est exagéré.

Avec une réservation pour 20:15 et etant au bar depuis 19:00 je ´nai eu ma table disponible à 20:45. J’ai apprécié le geste du maître d’O qui nous a offert 4 coupes de champagne….j’ai moins apprécié la presence un peu trop « poussée « des serveurs et l’ »approximation » de Karl qui nous a vanté les qualités de l’agneau de Kamouraska….qu’il a situé dans le Saguenay ( pensant qu’avec notre accent de la vieille Europe cela etait sans importance….)

The first dish we ordered was lukewarm, almost cold. We complained and were served a second one, quite warm this time. The edges of the toast were so hard, we had trouble cutting the bread. The cocktails were skimpy, not at all what we expected and the lemon pie dessert looked as though it was measured on the lid of a jam jar. We were disappointed with the tiny size and the so-so taste. Eating at this restaurant brings back pleasant memories of the old 9th Floor at Eaton's department store. The renovations are fantastic, but we may not repeat the experience because of the the noise and the very average quality of the food .
