Service is perfect, food is incredible, wine is awesome for acceptable price, place is just beautiful.
If I gave only 4 stars when it should be a 5, it's due to when it's time to pay. Tip in Québec is 15% on the "before taxes" amount. When the lower tip percentage the machine shows is 18% tax included, which makes a 20% before tax, it is absolutely unacceptable.
Trying to force clients to leave more than what has to be done, without giving them the option to give a normal tip is unacceptable.
A lot of people will give what the screen shows because they feel bad to customize the amount in front of the waiter or because it looks too complicated to modify it.
I went into the menus to customize the tip and I was nice enough to give a 15% tax in, I could have leave a 13% which makes a 15 before tax. Give me the normal tip option, I may give more. Try to force me to give more, I'll give less.
I'm OK to propose to clients to offer more than the basic tip, but not giving them at first the choice to give a 15% (which is already a 17% tax in), I say it again, is unacceptable.
