We had a fantastic meal. LeColonial is my favorite go to restaurant in Chicago. Two orders of Dumplings, crispy roll wraps, and two pho’s made an excellent start. Craft cocktails were excellent (spicy margarita is a must try). Service was spot on.

I have never had a bad experience at Le Colonial and this time was no exception. We brought our son and his girlfriend, my son was so impressed with his experience, chopsticks on the floor..voila a new pair appeared! He took a bite of the duck and in mid sentence he stopped and shook his head to say it was the best duck he has ever tasted. Also loved our waiter that evening, he was efficient and his treatment of us was above board.

Tasty, authentic Indochinese cuisine in an intimate space evocative of French Indochina (warm woods, French doors, lots of bars with top-shelf liquors, lots of servers and staff, etc.). The food and service were uniformly excellent. The house cocktails were a little weird. No problem carrying on a conversation. The chocolate soufflé was perfect and the coffee was very good. The main bathrooms are up a flight of stairs, but there is one available on the main floor. Valet parking is available (and recommended, in this neighborhood).
