   We were very disappointed by our new years eve reservation last night. We were placed on the cold patio despite there being many empty seats inside. The service was incredibly poor and our waitress even admitted that the staff kept forgetting about us. Drinks were incredibly delayed and we had to repeatedly remind staff to receive the complimentary new years champagne and props. I had made the reservation two weeks ago and was very disappointed by the poor service.

   We dined here for New Years Eve. The restaurant is punctual. If your reservation is for 8:15 then you can expect to be seated at that time, not before. Table was a bit small and not much space for legs and feet. Waitress was not very friendly and they seemed to want to rush us through our meal. I had the lamb. Not prepared how I like. But that's a matter of preference. I prefer lamb to have a rub and cooked over charcoals. Much juicer and tasty that way. No need for a sauce. The cocktails were delicious. The alcohol was mixed in such a way that you wouldnt know there was any in it, until you are halfway through your drink and it starts hitting you. For us, the sweetness level of the salad, deserts were too much. But hey we do not eat a lot of sugary foods like the majority of America. My wife had the lobster. Yummy. Delicious curry sauce. Overall, a good experience but not great. Next year we will go elsewhere.

   Would have been great if they let people know that there was a pre set menu when booking our reservations. Showed up and they hand you a menu and say that this is the only option and it is $125 per person. Paid almost $400 for 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts and one cocktail due to the 20% tip and 3% “Restaurant Fee”. We have eaten here plenty of times and got the same amount of food and drinks for under $200. Highly disappointed in the poor communication.

   It is certainly one of our favorite restaurants in Houston. Excellent food, decent service, and very nice atmosphere in spite of the flickering lights. However, it was hard to understand the hidden charges like added restaurant surcharge and 20% tip automatically included for an already expensive meal.

   Food was not worth the money. It is congested too. They tried to accommodate too many people at the same time.
