Michelin-starred Le Jardinier is a unique and refined restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli located in The Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Rooted in timeless French approach, Chef Verzeroli has created a menu where plants play a prominent role: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, and greens are complemented by wild and sustainable fish with local Texas meats. All our breads are gluten-free and baked in house.

Le Jardinier's light-filled space will evoke a feeling of relaxed-luxury and incorporate custom art pieces with outdoor dining set within an Isamu Noguchi-designed sculpture garden. In 2024, Le Jardinier was awarded one Michelin Star at Texas' Inaugural Michelin Guide.

Quiet, reserved elegant great wine list, great food, quality. Everyone was very polite and kind and tried very hard to make your experience wonderful. I like the way this is a small quality oriented restaurant.

While the food at Le Jardinier was (for the most part) excellent, the service fell far short of expectations for a Michelin-starred restaurant. We booked a 9:15 PM reservation six weeks in advance. Around 7 PM the day of, I received five back-to-back phone calls before finally getting a voicemail asking if we wanted to come in early. I returned the call, let them know we had plans but would arrive as soon as we could. When we got there at 8:45 PM (earlier than booked), the hostess greeted us with an exasperated “Finally, I’ve been trying to call you all day”—both untrue and unprofessional. Instead of a warm welcome, we felt like an inconvenience. Service throughout the meal was rushed and careless. A dish was removed while we were still deciding who would eat the last bite. Our server spilled tonic water on a guest without acknowledging it or replacing the bread plate. One dish arrived without a spoon, and our pork chop was cool / room temp when served. The hostess later lavished attention on the table next to us, thanking them profusely, while completely ignoring us. When you dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant, you expect precision, professionalism, and hospitality. I had a follow-up reservation booked but have cancelled—it’s clear there are better options in Houston that deliver both great food and great service.

5 stars in all categories - by far best special occasion restaurant in Houston right now. Worth the splurge !

Great restaurant with wonderful aesthetics. The service was absolutely impeccable. Bread surface was good… The wheat roll was fantastic, but the other two were a little bit lacking with the breadsticks being a bit overdone and the other roll not being very flavorful at all. We had the soufflé as an appetizer and it was wonderful however, just a bit small to share even for two people. We had two pasta selections and they were absolutely fantastic. The coffee service and dessert were very good as we really enjoyed the citrus and the dessert. I still cannot say enough for the attention to detail in the plating and in the service. We were given excellent wine suggestions to go with our food and that was a huge benefit! We look forward to return returning.

We had our anniversary dinner here at Le Jardinier. The experience was very nice and relaxing after walking through the museum. Our server was Robin and she was amazing! She was very kind and added to the great atmosphere. We will be returning soon!

Certainly one of the best destinations for the foodies and consumable art connoisseur in all of us. Delicious foods, expertly prepared, beautifully presented and delivered by knowledgeable, courteous staffs. A well deserved Michelin Star! The location is charmingly modern and artistic.
