Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines.
Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere.

A little bit of Paris in this small 32 seat bistro with French posters, tin ceiling, and French music. The best roast chicken ever. Excellent mussels and frites. Of course we ended with delicious profiteroles. Expect sitting close to a dining neighbor, but it’s so worth it. Everything on the menu is outstanding.

This is my favorite place in the city. The food is affordable and reliably delicious. I couldn't imagine a better place to bring a date. Truly a wonderful place.

As a French person, it is the best Parisian restaurant in New York! The food is exceptional, the ambiance and the service. If you want to escape to Paris, it is the place to be.

We had never dined here before, but went after reading reviews on Open Table. It was smaller and less chic/Parisien than we expected. It was very small and looked more like a diner than a Bistro. However, the welcome and service were outstanding. The food was very good, but not as flavorable as we expected. My husband had the special -- lamb shank, which looked very appetizing and he said was excellent. I had escargot and musssels -- both very good, but somewhat bland -- I expected more. However the staff and the surroundings were enticing and we will definitely return.

This restaurant is our neighborhood go-to for a great meal with an old school French bistro vibe. The food is consistently delicious, prepared to perfection. Service is great too, the French lady who always serves us is the perfect host. She is also an amazing artist, we love her painted glass water bottles that they serve at all the tables. Such beautiful and unique work. We recommend this place if you love French food. Their desserts are amazing too!
