Typically a great place to dine, this experience was mediocre at best. To start when you serve an Old Fashion, you should have the right cherry - Maraschino are preferred by most Old Fashion aficionados. Among the six people that dined with us, at least two had lukewarm food delivered to them and one had to return the dish to the kitchen. The server was apologetic and did not resist any attempts to make the dish right.

I usually eat here at least once every couple months and its always good…until today when i brought friends from Illinois that wanted lobster rolls. And it was just bad, really bad. Over $40 for the lobster roll, which would be fine for a half lb of big chunks, claws,etc., but what we got looked like cat food - small nuggets of gummy meat. Midwest people are too nice to send it back so out of respect for them i let it go. And as if the food wasnt bad enough today, the service was worse in a close to empty restaurant at 2:00 on a weekday. With so many options in Burlington these days i wont be eating at Legal again for a long time.

The food was fine but the service was poor. Our server disappeared for long periods of time. Made for an uneven meal.
