We stopped at Downtown Crossing for dinner before a show. The service was great. Colin, our waiter, was attentive and knowledgeable. I have a food allergy and he was able to offer alternatives to protect me. My meal was brought out separately so as to avoid any cross-contamination. The Manager was personable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. We will return there the next time we go into town. The prices were very reasonable, the food was excellent. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

The stuffed lobster was a complete disappointment—the worst I’ve ever had. The stuffing was overloaded with undercooked onions, and the lobster itself seemed undercooked with an odd taste that made it unappetizing. It felt poorly prepared and far from fresh. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

I'm so upset. Went here to have dinner for a party of 3 before a show. Two of us ordered scallops. They were the size of nickels -- and tough and chewy, like you had microwaved them. It cost 33 dollars a plate. Was told the manager was too busy and we would have to wait when asked to talk to the manager. But we needed to leave to see the show. I used to come to Legal Sea Foods in the original location at Chestnut hill in the 1980s, and it was high quality. I know it's been decades since then, but oh, this place has no quality control anymore. Server was fine.
