Steak was sinewy and not worth the $25 up charge. The 1st course was a bunch of hummus dips, tasty but not special. The chocolate cake had too many cherries and the sweetness overpowered the rest of the dish. The wine pairing was quite good. Would not recommend Leila.

The off menu item of caviar is a must. This one bite made Leila stand out.

Love the decor and we’re happy we were able to moved to a banquette table v the middle row. Very appreciative of that thoughtfulness. Loved the variety of salads and the bread-delicious ! Enjoyed the branzino entree and the dessert was so yummy. The wine pairing was spot on!

The food is superb. Leila is my new favorite restaurant. The seven salads were something I wish I could have every day.

With a limited prix fixe menu I was a little unsure of how that would be as I do’t eat meat. My concern was completely unfounded. Every bite of our meals was outstanding. A true gourmet experience. The service was excellent. Our waitperson was attentive but not intrusive, as was the rest of the staff. The wines available in the wine pairing are all available by the glass with a few bottles available as well but a more limited selection than one would be used to. The 7 salads were not greens based “salads”, rather a mezze selection of vegetarian dips, several combining unusual combinations or the best versions of Moroccan or middle eastern offerings that you might have had before such as muhammara or lebneh or white bean served with a round chewy sumac dusted bread and a platter of endive, carrots and cauliflower for scooping. We had the wagu beef which was a divine preparation and the branzino, perfectly prepared with a bevy of flavours and textures on the plate. It would take a master to produce a plates like these. There is one outstanding dessert. A date cake which presented like an elevated toffee pudding in a delicately seasoned caramel sauce topped with a quenelle of buffalo milk (I think) ice cream. We tried two non alcohol cocktails - the smokey pomegranate “Silk Road” was wonderful - again, a complex combination of flavours that worked. The other yuzu juice based offering was a little less appealing to us but still interesting. The only drawback was the noise level which made it difficult for us and the waitstaff to hear each other. In all we were very pleased that we went.

Everything was delicious. Great portions, beautiful presentation. The ceramics were beautiful in itself. Fantastic drinks. The service was impeccable, and the servers were incredibly knowledgeable.

Food was very good. However the menu format was a turn off. It is a Chefs tasting menu, but it is far from being complete. There are no appetizers they are marketed as an extra as are the starches/sides. It is the only Chefs tasting menu I’ve experienced that doesn’t include the Chefs signature dish. It is a $36 addition. Just felt as if one were being hammered by up charges if you wanted a traditional multiple course complete tasting menu. A big turn off for an experienced and educated diner. At just under $500 for 4 people with a cocktail each and no wine there is not good value here.

Food and service were very good. The space is inviting. My experience was spoiled by the air conditioning which made it very cold. The food became cold very quickly and I was cold despite bringing an extra layer to wear. The restaurant lent me a shawl. I think the problem was largely because at the front of the restaurant the vents are in the low ceiling very close to the tables. The rest of the restaurant has a very high ceiling and I presume does not have this problem.

The food was very creative and delicious. It is the most unique preparation of Middle Eastern food. It is certainly Michelin quality. The ambiance is remarkable and our server, Keisha was outstanding.
