   Great setting, limited menu but some well delivered plates. Overall doesn’t support the price tag, much relieved to have not ventured near the wines priced at £80-£300 (making up the majority of their list) as food would not have done them justice and bill already came to nearly £100 a head. But the place is completely let down by the service, felt like everyone was brand new to the job, let alone the restaurant. 16 tables in the main area, 4 staff (so plenty) - but we got brought wrong drinks 3 times, had to chase a number of times, offered Rosé as a replacement to the red they didn’t have. 3 tables around us asked or were offered items taken off the bill and as we left a table of 4 next to us had been served 3 mains and were still waiting on the 4th - 10 minutes later. Overall a real shame, as so much to make this place great, but manages to successfully under deliver on most. Hadn’t been for 2 years, will likely wait at least that long again.

   Hi Lucy, thank you very much for your review. Can I begin by saying how sorry I am for your experience at Levan on Saturday. A night which was challenging in many ways, some beyond our control, others not. Since Wednesday last week, nearly the whole of Blenheim Grove have had power cuts, causing some lighting, power to parts of the kitchen and our wifi to stop working. This threw many challenges our way, the kitchen had to adapt to less cooking equipment, we had to hand write the orders for the kitchen and bar, and, as your experience shows a new and inexperienced team. Pretty much a perfect storm, which you a few others got caught up in and for which we are so very sorry. I’ve sent you a private message which I hope you’ll response to our thoughts and offer.    Absolutely lovely, great menu, delicious food and the staff were perfect balance of friendly/sweet/attentive without being over the top.

   Lovely restaurant! There was a power cut on the street which restricted the number of dishes available, but this wasn’t noticeable as the food available was delicious and the restaurant had a nice vibe!

   Food was tasty and dishes were original. Other than the smoked trout (miso and coffee glaze) all other dishes were quite heavy with thick sauces. Perfect for winter, but not for the faint hearted! Sadly service was unfriendly and totally disengaged. The waiter was efficient at bringing food and waiting on the whole room, but unsmiling and lacking any warmth or personality .a real pity.

Our manager remembers bringing you a couple of options for the wines as you weren't familiar with them and later in the service got the sense that you were deep in conversation and would prefer to be left to your own devices.    Amazing food, great wine and lovely vibes. We tried th chefs menu, and every dish was wonderful, and staff was friendly and helpful.

   Good was disappointing as the reviews all sounded really encouraging. The Gruyère tart was really dry and didn’t pack much of a punch flavour wise. Steak tartare lacked seasoning. Will give it another chance as hopefully we just went on a night off!
