"What are you ?" is a question we are frequently asked. "Are you a bakery, a café, a restaurant, a gift shop, a patisserie, a delicatessen, a cake shop, a wine bar, a bistro…?"

At the heart of what we do is sharing Paris with you. Paris, the City of Lights, the City of Love; a city we love, a city we hail from, a city that has so much to offer...

On Mercer Island, we are open 5 days a week, until late in the afternoon, and are taking reservations for Brunch on the weekend (10am - 2pm).

So whether you want to call us a bakery, a café, a restaurant, a gift shop, a patisserie, a delicatessen, a cake shop, a wine bar or a bistro... do not wait any longer to join “L'Expérience”!

    I had the Niçoise salad and did not like it. The dressing was not good which colored the whole salad.

    Exceptional food and love the ambiance, felt like I was in Europe, very cool and subtle decor. Our waitress was very accommodating and the food came out fast. Would definitely go again.

    This place has so much potential, but there are lots of areas for improvement. We dined there on Father’s Day. I made a reservation and we were seated right away. Our waiter brought us coffee. Then we waited to order. When we finally ordered, we were disappointed to learn they were out of every type of quiche. They were out of some croissants as well. My daughter asked that they put the rest of our order in while she looked for something different. We had to flag a waiter to come back and take her order when she decided. Then, we waited for our food for almost an hour. We were never checked on. Our coffee cups were empty. We had no water. When the food finally came out, my daughter’s entrée was missing. The rest of us ate. We finished and my daughter’s order had still not come out. A waitress brought her a croissant while she waited, but the experience was less than ideal. Her food finally arrived and it was yummy, but it was a lot of waiting with very little attention. I hope the manager does some training to teach the wait staff to be more attentive. My daughter’s food order should not have been placed in the back of the queue when she ordered late (bc her first choice for breakfast was out).

    Great place to meet with friends. Excellent food. A little bit of Paris in Mercer Island.

    The low service rating has nothing to do with the poor server (one!!!) who was trying to serve the entire restaurant! Where is the manager??? The server told us she was training 2 new people in addition to getting the food out to the customers. This is doing a huge disservice to the employees who show up for their job and are probably paid a pittance compared to what they should be paid. Is having a manager on duty too much of a drain on your payroll or are you just so detached from your business not to know what is going on? People arrive and there is no one to greet them, they wait to buy a pastry or find a table. This is not the fault of the young people who are working there. Get a manager who knows how a restaurant should be managed and show your customers you care! And read the rest of the reviews saying the same thing. Have not recommended our experience for fear of a repeat. I guess if they had all the time in the world to wait for their order, maybe. Quality of food when you get it, is good.

    The food was good, not great, served Luke warm, and we did not receive our coffees we had ordered first until halfway through our meal. The ambience is like a cafeteria, lighting is awful, and the service almost non-existent. The 3 servers were trying hard, but overwhelmed by amount of people and there did not really appear to be anyone in charge. Very frustrating. We will not be returning.

    Worst croque monsieur I’ve had. Seemed like wonder bread with one small piece of deli ham that didn’t cover the bread. I didn’t understand how service works. We didn’t know if we needed to order at the front. A girl did take our order after a long wait. If there was actual service at tables, it was horrible. We were going to order drinks but she never came back so we didn’t. Water didn’t get refilled.

    Excellent quiche and salad. The proportions were great and extremely tasty. I will definitely return.

    We found L’Experience Paris a great place to meet our friends and have a cup of coffee & some lunch. We enjoyed ourselves and next time we will stop for some pastries.
