Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

    This was our first visit to this location of Liberty Kitchen. Love the ambience and the staff. The valet was attentive and helpful and The hostess was particularly welcoming. Our server , Timothy , and his helper were attentive and efficient. The caviar service was delicious and presented nicely. Tuna taco appetizer was perfect and the lobster bisque was very good. Had shrimp and crab with risotto and the shrimp were a little overcooked same with my husband‘s lobster and pasta. The taste was good but the lobster was a little overcooked so maybe if you order those, ask them not to overcook them because flavor was great.  Nice cocktail and wine list. We were four old friends, catching up and appreciated that there was a lively enough feeling without being so loud that we had to text each other conversation. We’ll definitely be back.

    Raw oysters were very nice, cooked ones disappointing. The off-menu sea bass dish was overpriced: excellent bass filet but only 2 shrimp and too many boiled new potatoes to accompany the dish. $70. Iceberg Salad and tuna roll did not disappoint. We had a mixed experience for our first visit!

    Our waitress was amazing, however, with the time discrepancy online and not yelp, it was confusing. We were allowed to make a reservation for 9 o’clock when they close at 9 o’clock, and we didn’t know until they gave us a call. The service was fast and everyone was the food was tasty however it is pricey.

    Dinner for 5, enjoyed seafood, sushi and steak dishes all were excellent. Service wonderful a noise level not too loud making it an enjoyable evening. It’s a great menu.
